Remote mount turbos are great and all regardless what most people say, BUT you'll want the entire STS kit... You can NEVER half a** a turbo set-up you can NEVER EVER half a** a remote mount. KAs are small enough, keep it up front and cover it with a diaper. My $0.02.

You really don't under stand turbos as well as you think.

But rustspec what about my giant 90mm WG that can flow around that restriction?

Did you read anywhere in this thread where I said I was an expert? I'm simply discussing something that interests me. You don't have to be a prick to add your opinion to the conversation. Either add to the conversation like an adult, or don't add to it.

I enjoy conversing with intelligent people, lets keep this on track. It's been a good thread so far, no need to ruin it now.

Nobody is halfassing anything. The sts kit isn't anything special. Everything can be bought or made very easily. I don't want all that heat in the engine bay. Period.

Well, I'm not going to knock the RMT because I am using a couple myself. Also, I wasn't saying you were half-assing anything; I am simply preaching that RMT systems have more room for error. Of course STS is nothing special, especially not with it's price tag, BUT it IS a complete operational kit. I was using it as an example. And please don't misinterpret what I'm saying...

Sorry WD, didn't mean to come off as a prick- Ive seen some of your other posts and the ones in this thread and your just a little mis informed. I do like helping people that are receptive to help....(not that I'm an expert by any means)

Any way here's some non-made up numbers: http://www.skylinesaustralia.c...73135

Its about a GT30R (and the dozens of revisions garret turbos have) and RB25's. But its still a VERY good read. It also proves why HKS turbos are trash and over expensive, since they are just special order garrets.

So did you under stand my post or was my late night rambling just mindless babbling?

Really? I'm a little misinformed? On what? Aside from THIS particular topic I can't think of anything I'm "misinformed" about. Almost 100% of the things I post come directly from experience. I may take the road less traveled on occasion, but that's just a matter of preference really.

Anyway, no harm no foul. I come off like a d!ck online all the time

Seriously I'm trying to stay on topic, I usually don't pay attention to who posts what but In the KA forum you do post good info. Only on hybrid turbos and waste gates do you not quite have the full grasp.

IE a waste gate could never add power and a t2/t4 could not make good results.

Did you even read and under stand what Ive posted so far? You haven't even commented on any thing useful I've posted yet.

And trust me I'm open minded, I'm setting up my rb20 for a twin turbo setup compound style.

Look, I take issue with you declaring that I don't know what I'm talking about. So I'm asking you to stop. By that I mean, don't reword or vomit up anymore BS about what you think I know or don't know.

Ok? Good.

I read your posts and Chano's. You don't know Chano or myself, but I argue with Chano ALL the time. Often taking the wrong side just to argue etc. So post what you want, but retain any comments about anyone but yourself.

On this particular topic I may very well be in the wrong. Which is ok by me, I have no problem saying I'm wrong.

BTW, if you read what I post you'll see that I ALWAYS say get a T3 flanged turbo. I hate the T2...HATE.

It's not real big. Just a 67mm compressor.
