I can see the point of using a system like this if there's no room in the engine bay, but there's enough space in the 240 that you dont really have to do that.

Do it. Tell us how it goes. Or how long it lasted (jk). You knew you would catch flak. At least you showed me something new. I love new , even if it seems TGTBT. balls. hook it up , dyno it , post it. If you want to try it , go for it. But I'll live through you. hee hee. *Hint* .........type.........s.l.o.w.e.r......O.K.

This system is a freakin' joke. Obviously the people who designed it don't have the faintest idea of how a turbo works or what it is trying to accomplish.

...and to think I was worrying over the extra 2 feet of piping a FMIC would add to my charge piping...

HAHA!

How about NO...I rank this right up there with those little electric fans. Guaranteed to pass CARB huh...I think not.

If you guys think this is a good idea, I got an even better one. Which has actually been done.

Take a gas powered leaf blower, mount it in your trunk, run the output under the car into the engine bay, pull rip cord from back seat....bam instant boost with no lag. Install a wastegate inline.

This was done on a Chevelle...I'll hunt around for the MPEG.

HAHA funny you mentioned that!! Tried it (in my younger days) for fun one day on a Buick with a 3800 in it. WHAT!?! I was really bored. We have a really nice powerful Stihl Blower and I was craving "boost" . The only problem was once the blower built "pressure" lol , it would just backflow out though the blowers impeller. I only noticed anything right off the line and then that was about it. Ahh youngens!

I installed 2 bilge pump fans for fun and got 1.5hp :P

Yes I took it to a dyno.

well 3 things, one some one mentioned how many posts this guy has. To me thats not relevant, posts do not equal knowledge or know how, your simply saying if this guy made random posts to equal the amount of posts you have, then all of a sudden his idea would become instanly more acceptable. 2. The spelling and grammer thing i get it, but people make mistakes when typing, especially if fast, or when they're excited "even if it is a computer" not taking up for anyone just saying, im pretty sure everyone has done it. and 3. i live down the street from one of the rear turbo shops, its in texas, and the guys car pulls pretty good. "cousin has an f-body v6, and was looking at the setup". To my understanding it is for peopl who want a little extra boost but a car that retains a lot of streetability"not my words". Anywho they say the lag is equivalent to the lag of a front mount turbo with an intercooler. But then everyone gets into the issues of exhaust gasses and heat and what not so-hey. I dont think its a bad idea, its just new. The guys on the ls1 boards had the same amount of ridicule, I say if you want to try it try it, and come back with results. Hell if i get the money for a turbo before classes start back, I'll do it just for the hell of it. "you may continue flaming the noob":ylsuper

And like I said your still thinking frount mount. Same lag as any other turbo 3000rpm max boost and max Tq. know if i went and put the same turbo that front mounted kits use and put it in the rear yes I would have lag probles but these people have a turboset up for the rear. And if you took all your piping for a frount mount kit and layed it out w/ int cooler you would see 1/2 foot def

it doesnt take to long to double check your typing for errors.you are teh suck at spelling.

Hell, could you imagine trying to run a 9ft oil line, and return for that turbo.. that there, is enough said.
