Hello. New to the forums and relatively new to my M35. Have a 08 M35 S with the technology package, about 75k miles.

Anyway, I need to replace my rear brake pads and was wondering if there is any guidance or 'how-to' info available. I have worked on numerous models of BMWs in my past so I generically know how to change pads out, more looking for any helpful hints or gotchas? Also, I have not pulled the wheel and looked at the caliper set-up yet. Do you take out all of the bolts and pull the caliper off, or is it a design where you can pull bolts on one side and just rotate the caliper?

On a side note; any lessons on how to jack up the car or where best to put jack-stands?

Thanks for any guidance

its actually fairly simple and welcome to the forum/infiniti crowd...

depending if you want to go cheap or not I recommend a G37 BBK conversion ( i am slowly waiting on that mod for myself)

but here are a few good brake pads and dirt cheap compared to everyone else

Front:

Rear:

i got them on currently and love them, barely any brake dust and stop pretty damn good too

If you do them all, Most people on here recommend the "Brakemotive" kit from Ebay as it is the best value for the money and better than OEM.
If just pads, Hawk HPS are generally considered the best

Nothing special about these cars though. Not difficult at all, just takes time.

the rear on my 06 were pretty tight. also do not unpin the parking brake because all the pins will start rattling around inside which is a b**** to take the hat off. so that's my experience, hopefully it'll save you some time.

oh yeah - not sure if the brakemotive kit is going to fit on the 08 but if it does, you should consider it.
