Where does all the 4.08 gear posts come from? Or some even say 4.10 or 4.11?

How about 35 teeth on the ring gear and 8 teeth on the pinion!

I was sold supposedly a 4.08 gear........what I have is a 4.37!

I cant see whats so hard about turning the axle flange and counting the rotation of the pinion?....I did this and I thought I was seeing things?

So I took the cover off and saw that the ring and pinion count told me what my eyes saw!

After doing some inernet research this rear end is out of a 200SX or an r12 in another country....Many of these rear gears were 4.37 as it turns out.

What piss's me off as that when someone represents something as being a this or that they should have there facts straight.

This was represented as a 4.08 gear in the ad from a skyline

False information..........to give the forum member the benefit of the doubt maybe he did not know what the hell he had......

hope he answers his emails......did not answer the one from yesterday...but answered them fast when I was ready to purchase!

This will bolt up to any g50, i have done my research this is the right one, there are alot of different ones that dont work but this one will. e-mail me if interested we'll talk prices"Notice the words " i have done my research this is the right one"

Calls it the right one....LOL... 4.08 gear..LOL

No user was found with that user name.

His user name is actually "Que-45", And if you get no response from him talk to the CEO of this forum "AZhitman" he will track him down for you.

But Always deal with members with good selling reputations who can provide references to who he has sold to. :Hint: Me :Hint: , And always get pictures for next time, Not that they would really help with this matter.

And why do you want a 4:08/4:11? A torque converter with a higher stall speed is better from what I heard, Plus your car will only be good as a track car because you will get crappy gas millage and your odometer will be off.

Or go the better route and put a 5 speed in the sonbitch.

Your right Paul.....if Wes would would walk the walk we would have 5 speeds in these Bastards....

As far as the torque conver issue vs the gear....they both work the same way...they are torque mutipliers....both or either is good....dont forget a torque convertor slips as well in the gears.

I think I will do both....I dont care about mileage!

With this car being an overdrive that makes a big difference...65 mph is about 2500 rpm.....not good but not bad...

You have to be very careful when buying these rear diff's. Hopefully he will make good on that rear and not stiff you. As far as a 408 not making much of a difference. I currently am running a 408 from a Z. I noticed a nice snappy ness. I also have the dragon tc and it adds even more launch! Both together are nice. Also Paul, I think a tc may be better but a rear diff is much easier to install. Together they rock.

You really shouldn't knock Wes considering how much he contributes to the Q45 community.

What exactly have you contributed lately?

Seriously. Show your cards.

Que-45 response:"I may have been off on the ratio but I sold it to you with the best of my knowledge"

I will only give you your money back if the gears are bad.

So basically he screwed me.....said he did not know what the ratio was?

A moron can spin the axle over and count the pinion rotation!

You cant get enough information as far as I am concerned before you purchase something on forums....I even asked this idiot to pull the cover....a 1 minute job.........didnt do that either...

I dont think anybody on this forum wants a 4.37 diff?

How much did you pay him for it? Could always save a copy of his original ad posting and file a small claims case if he is not willing to do the honorable thing.

Some of the Nissan 240sx guys might. You might try listing it in one of the "Parts" sub-categories.

Why not talk to Greg or make a post in the general forum where Greg might see the post.

His profile is "AZhitman"

Trust me Greg has gotten peoples money back.

But no disrespect you are a litle at fault for buying something you were'nt 100% on what exactly it was. For the future make sure you get as much info about the product or service you are buying.

Those that want the 4AT to shift at 40, 71, 109 would want a 4.375 still turns 158 mph at 6500 rpm......................only a 23% drop in MPG on highway to 18 MPG.

Your right Paul.......

Here is another scenario

The existing Q's companion flange will not physically go in the new housing..the ABS cavity that exists in the Q is not in the skyline rear end....The Q has a cavity of large dia. and the 4.37 has no cavity for it to fit into...........

This Que-45 guy was clueless

Thats right..........would not be that bad with the .69 overdrive....it should rip your head off when you push on the loud pedal !

The s8 guys from the movie Ronin missed the boat!...Shoulda had the Q in the movie

See the above posts on ratios...

4.08 gears4.11 Gears4.36 gears4.37 Gears

All came in R32....two different cases similiar in appearance but some will hold the Q companion flange and some will not... A rear sensor housing will not contain the cavity to contain the toothed reluctor wheel. Some housings will have the added clearance.

Its the luck of the draw Or the knowledge of the buyer and or seller. In my case he did not know his *** from a hole in the ground or did and intentionally flucked me.

Either way you should be able to buy with some confidence that if something does not work out you will get your money returned?

If you dont have some credibility as a forum member than get the hell off these forums.....be honest or leave.

Here is his add in the classsified:zer...-only

From his first post it's apparent he is a moron. Wes tries to save him,but you can see I tried to get him to post a pic! I think he knew exactly what he was doing and Greg should ban him asap before he scams someone else with his 240 stuff. Why else would he not post a pic. I mean would you buy something even from ebay without a pic? I would not and did not! Nice scam Que-45! Times are tough and we will see more of this if the nico's CEO does not help in some way. Just read the newspapers people are desperate.

Lets see how many rules does that ad violate:

8) Sellers, LIST YOUR ASKING PRICE! Don't make people chase you down via email, post up a number so that folks don't waste their time.

the new format consists of 3 parts1) The State you are from2) A brief description of the part(s) you are selling3) Your shipping requirements

Example: NY:1992 s13 fb SR Swap Low miles NO SHIP

Source:zerothread/110035

Plus he only had 67 posts

And he never posted pictures despite the fact he said he would TWICE.

Que-45 last posted at 12:26 PM 1/24/2009 to 4.08 skyline rear differential for sale g50 only (in Infiniti Parts For Sale) ALMOST A MONTH A GO.

Every member i have delt with has given me a refund eg: Mike Goodwin.

I also give refunds to whom I have sold.

But I really hope you get your money back and I hope you did'nt pay too much if you don't

This differential would be an awesome upgrade for the 240SX community my friend has one and it is great for drifting, very responsive and snappy around curves.

BIG DEAL!!!! Any totally stock newer garden variety pedestrian V6 Altima, Accord, or Camry will still walk away from you 0-30, 0-60, 0-100mph!!!

Old Q is the WRONG car if your main goal is acceleration ability.

I imagine the tunnel restrictions make a six speed completely out of the question?

I think if you have the differential, torque converter and a turbo you would be un beatable.

But I doubt the motor and transmission could take the abuse, but the axle might have to be upgraded too.

But I am not a track guy (But I did beat a 305 Chevy nova my first time at New England Drag way).

A gear and a convertor will act like a much bigger engine.....they both will multipy the torque by a LARGE amount compared to a stock Q...forget the turbo for right now......that would be too much for the trans for sure. But a gear and tire will not affect the trans or rear end....still the same engine......were just going to trick it alittle.

However having said that.....a 4.37 gear and a convertor that will get up to peak torque right now.........Will be pretty tough to beat to 60 MPH with a sticky tire...my guess for now is 5.7 seconds..

I will get Wesson Oil to be my witness to this and my time clock man...

He will post the times for authentic no bull times.........bring on the accords and camry's HA HA

Any takers on a good bet?

Hey I will be willing to wager some money on the above statements?

Get whatever model of car you mentioned above and we will record the 0- to whatever time....Wes can time them......I will put $1000.00 on the Q...Just how sure are you?

My grand is how sure I am.....I need to make some easy money...so are we on?
