you bought it before you did your research?

man you are in for a world of sh*t.

http://www.honda-tech.com

go search the archived topics for osaka.

some people have good experiences, some dont. i would personally never try to save a buck by using them.

Ok... I did find some threads, but most were thrashing a person, not the company.Looks like I'm at their mercy.... I will just pay attention to the guys that got good stuf, not the ones that heard someone got screwed....

Time will tell, it's on its way as of today..... wish me luck....

thanks for the newsjoel

BTW, as the guy said in one of the posts, "why don't people check here first?" Problem is, I didn't know of this site, and the ones I belong to never heard of Osaka. We don't talk Honda very often.....

thanks again for the reply

We don't buy from them. Because no one wants to take the chances others have.

When you get your clip, please post pictures though so we can see how it looks.

I see what your saying... how true it is, that word of mouth can make or break you as a buisness. So far, mostly every prior post in the archives was from people that never delt with them, just ones that heard this or that. It appears that Osaka has made a bad deal or two, from what these guys said, but again, I think most of the bad news was over a certian guy that worked there and made shady promisses.I did see a pic of a crappy motor, and I hope that guy got it straitened out...

All I can do at this point is hope I get what the owner himself told me I was getting... thats the way it works, no matter who you buy from. You get what they send you, no matter if they have a hundred posts on different sites saying how honest they are as a buisness. You have to trust that they are on the up n up, thats what I'm doing..... I just hope I'm able in the end to post pics of my sweet RB26 deal I got from them :D not just another bad experince someone got from a JDM Engine Importer :argue:

Should have made the red flag pop up right then....3K for a 26 CLIP. PLEASE!!! The RB25 sells for that much. I did months of research before buying my RB20 clip. Even searched NON NISSAN sites for info on Venus. Osaka is bad news. Go to honda tech and search. This motor was so bad it looked nasty. Everything was rusted or stained. Oil and water EVERYWHERE. It was unbelievable they sent that motro, when the one on their site was immaculate. And that is just one example. I have sympathy for people who get ripped by someone like say Heavy Throttle. IF you get ripped by a bad company, it is your fault for not searching because 9.99 times out of 10 there is enough info on them to be found to discourage purchasing from them

Blah Blah Blah, I guess I'm flawed for not checking with you directly, huh?....PLEASE!!!

Anyway, I received what I paid $3,000 for today, and yes, it was dirty:thinker , and the paint was scratched, but I got what I paid for.No, it is not a full front clip for $3,000, only because thats not what I wanted. I didn't want to deal with a half a car, so what was sent to me is exactly what I wanted to be sent, and what was agreeded upon.

Sure it would be nice to have gotton a motor that didn't have any greese on it, or some paint scratched, but the last time I looked at a used motor, in a used car, it was dirty.... unless it was kept clean like I do....:D

Over all, I'm happy with what I got for $3,000. I am planing on a full rebuild anyways, even if it don't appear to need one. I want this thing to look as good as my current motor (look in my sig) before I even consider putting it in my car, so it dosen't matter at this point if its dirty, or scratched, I fix stuf like that :thinker

These pics are for those who asked I post some when I got it in, and not for the ones who just try to make people feel like ****....

Belive me, the next time you see this motor, you won't think its the same motor in these pics. I have the money and the know how to make this happen, not just put people down when they want to...

Nice, I guess you have an rb25 transmission there. Tell us the compression and post some picks with the valve cover and head off. Good luck with it.

Once again, it dosen't mater to me what the compression is, or how it looks with the valve cover off, I'm rebuilding it.I already have a set of JE pistons, and I'm waiting on the cam kit...

Show me some pics of your motor with the valve cover off, and the head off then we can compare them if thats what your after...

74260zt- I notice you're a bit on the defensive side. Easy there Tiger.

Your engine looks good. Doesn't seem corroded at all compared to the ones I've seen that came in clips.

Well, no matter what anyone says, it's yours. I'm glad that you're very motivated and I wish you the best of luck. Keep it up.

By the way, you did get the flywheel right? I don't see it in pics.

spec-u-later - what makes u think that's a 25 transmission? I've got a 25 transmission in my garage and that is so much beefier. The driveshaft mount is different also. The drive shaft on mine, the splines slip into the transmission where on the picture looks like the drive shaft has to bolt on to the back of the transmission.

Oh yeah, mines suppose to be the DET transmission.

Sorry... your right, I do get drove when some folks try to belittle a person...

As far as the flywheel... your right, I didn't get it, so I emailed them to let them know they owe me one even though I'm buying THIS one to use instead.. from a member at Hybridz.org. It should have came with the motor/trans as far as I'm concerned...

Thanks for the encouraging posts from most of you..joel
