I have posted some pictures and information in my new member thread, but figured it would be better to start a more specific thread to update the build process. So far, Ross has been an awesome guy to deal with and has been more than helpful with everything. The car has been down since December of 2009 so it's safe to say I can't wait to get this thing back on the road! They will be tuning one map for 93 pump gas and another for e85 :). Thanks guys. I got my tach re calibrated at LS Auto to read a 6cyl pulse cycle. Before the rpms read twice as high as they should have been. Who knows how high this thing was spun in the past!

Any racing seat suggestions? I'm really considering some Sparco Pro 2000's in blue. The factory seats are in there right now and have been recovered by Katzkin, but they are just not supportive enough. Any other alternatives around that price range or cheaper that someone can think of?

Okay so I'm probably holding off on seats at the moment....Good news is Ross called me the other day and the machine work on the block is done. They picked up the motor and will begin assembly after the Texas 2k meet. Can't wait!

Never heard of this. Can I get some info on this? I googled & found nothing except your posts on different forums about these Underground 300zx calipers... :poke:

Underground was the shop that originally built this car some years ago, so it was sort of a fabrication of their own. But, the brakes came off of a 300zx...that's basically it haha

New question...Volk TE37 or CE28ns? I like both! Considering 17s or 18s but am inclined to go with the smaller wheel. 17x9 in front and 17x10 in rear. Thoughts??

I was always partial to the CE28ns. Will never be able to afford them myself, but I think they would look badazz on your s14.

yea I really like them as well. I think ultimately it will come down to pricing. I've contacted a few vendors from some other forums and for the te37s, 18x9 and 18x10, they could do $3280 shipped. Not a bad price with shipping. I'm waiting on the CE28n quote now.

I would go 18's, but I guess it all depends what your going to do with the car. If your gunna drive it hard and tear it up, going through all those 18inch tires adds up $$$. I like TE37's. What is up with the underground thing? They just threw their name in front of 300zx brakes? Plagiarism much? Goodluck with the build

Yea I'm just trying to figure out what is best for it now. It's only going to be driven on the weekends and sunny days, but when it is driven it will be put to good use :)

TE37's are sooooo played out! Get the CE28N's in 18x10+18 with hella sticky 255/35/18's all around... :naughty:

Getting back to my wheel dilemma, I am kind of liking the Advan RS. Cheaper than the ce28n and the same look. I want to go with 18x9 and 18x10's but since the car is in Texas I can't take any measurements... I'm not sure what kind of clearance issues I will have and how the offset will effect it. The car is on Apexi N1 coilovers. I've been searching all over here and various forums and I know that the wheel sizes won't be the issue, but definitely picking the right offset and tire size will be.
