rb25 driveshaft removal que

im gonna be replace the rear transmission seal tomorrow and ive got to remove the d/s is there anything i should know before i get myself into this tomorrow or will it just be a simple nut and bolt removal and replacment. i did some searching and came across this it kinda scares me zerothread?id=138217 i doubt ill be hangin my transmission from anything so if im gonna need to ill just have xat put the seal in for me lmk

uh yea that dosent happen on a regular basis

its nut and bolt, just watch out for the 2 quarts of fluid that will come out the back of the transmission when you pull the driveshaft out.

cool, thats what i figured, its been leaking for a couple weeks so theres prolly not that much fluid left but i have a drain pan and such im just gonna put the car on jackstands and get er done

oh yeah! gotta love the smell of that transmission fluid when it saturates your garage floor and doesn't go away for like 3 weeks. Should be a self-explanatory operation once you slide the driveshaft out. Pry one seal out and tamp a new one in and voila!
