So I spent couple days trying to remove this drive shaft. And thanks for the previous replies and tips. So I come out with an ultimate idea!!!

HOlyyyyy ****tt the thing just explodes. Notice the hole made on the ceiling. But hey, it works.

you could of just tired the transmission to a post or a tree or something and yanked it out with a car or truck. thats a lot easier.

wow idk why u had so much trouble with that. the drive shaft came out of my ka no problem, the first time it was ever out and it was 15 years old with about 200k on it.

I know... I tried everything. Flat screw driver, prybar, hammer... The thing stucks in there so hard. Even with the crane, I have to use extension pipe to jack it up... LOL tension must be in excess of 1000lbs... Poor spider on the ceiling, hit by a projectile.

that's probably not a good sign. i've never seen a driveshaft stay on the output shaft that tightly.

hey off topic, but how much does an SR transmission weigh? can two people easily pick it up?

Interesting... What kinda problem I will be looking into?

Also, do you guys know where can I get that oil seal? I'm thinking of replacing it while I'm there. Can anyone shoot me the part number for that? Thanks.

the rear seal is the same for a KA. Don't have the part number on hand, but your dealer can get you one.
