RB25 Compression Results

I had venus compression test the clip I might buy from them, they said that the compression was in the 150's across the board. How good is this? I've heard that 160 is perfect so in the 150's would be allowable in my mind. What are ya'lls opinions? tell me what you think today

One more thing, UH got my rb25 from Venus. It was supposedly checked for compression by them. We found 2 cylinders with low compression (105,125) I recommend you test it yourself.

Oh, thats a given...I'd check it the minute it got here, I havent bought THIS clip yet, its just one they have offered me. I think I'm going to wait until there next shipment comes in and see which one has the best compression and go with that.

Hey Nathan....is Venus-Auto trying to offer you the RB25 clip that has automatic transmission but they will give you all the parts for the "manual conversion"?

Nope, the guy isnt me...I got the same story, someone put a deposit down but didnt come back so they said they would sell it to me if I wanted it. I'm going to wait and see what comes in on the next shipment though.

My RB20 is sitting in it. If itsn't there, well I will get ym 1837 bucks back. I should tell them to do a Compression test BEFORE they send it. All I need is a crappy engine after this crappy wait

Yep...and then you'll have to wait until at least the 11th for them to ship it out since the shop is closing for 10 days. Yeah, get them to do a compression test first, yes...they will probably half @$$ it and only do one cylinder or something, but it's better than nothing and gives you a little bit more recourse (ie: "you said it had 170 compression across the board but when I tested it, it was 100...I want my money back or a new engine"). Good luck man! Lets hope for some good engines this time around

I dont have the patience to wait any longer after being screwed the first time.

But damn dude....they are on vacation and are not back until the 7th....that pissed me off. The thing is that they dont even know whats on the next shipment.

Nope I had my wife call Vicky. she said if they got i, they would ship it BEFORE they closed down meaning same day in her words to my wife. I am expecting to wait, but if they DO come through as stated, that would be great. I already knew that though. Funyn thing is after my wife made that call, i had her call AGAIn to cancel myorder. Iwa going to sell my S13 and get a b14 SE-R. Line was busy. I took that as a sign to keep my S13 and RB20 order

Why not. i talked with a gentleman who spoke very broken english ans he appeared to know what was coming, He ASSURED me at least two RB20's were coming.

Hey Spec-v you probably talked to Ronald and I believe he is the owner of Venus-Auto. What I am wondering is how many people did they guarantee a clip for, because they assured me also that my RB25 clip would be on the next shipment, but I also thought that they only get 2 Rb25 and 2 Rb20 at a time.

Who knows but if shipment falls through, i am going ape ****. Enough being nice. i am still pissed that I overnighted that damn check. 13.65 I paid. My S13 has been collecting dust since May.

) I talked to Ronald too...well, tried too

I like talking to Vickie, I can understand her! Also...I have my deposit in and was promised second pick of any RB25's they get in, next after someone else who put in a deposit before me (ws it one of you guys?...the deposit was put in like 3 weeks ago or something)...if I dont like them, it'll roll over to the NEXT shipment.

I HAVEN'T HAD ANY PROBLEMS YET, BUT I AM STILL DOING MY TEAR DOWN. OHH AND CHEK YOUR TURBO WHEN YOU GET IT MY SHAFT IS BROKEN. I WAS CHECKING FOR END PLAY AND THE WHOLE THING WAS MOVING. SO I TORE DOWN THE TURBO AND THE SHAFT WAS BROKEN. I AM MAKING A LIST OF ALL THE THINGS I HAVE FOUND SO FAR. TURBO, RADIATOR, AND A COUPLE OTHER THINGS. HAVEN'T GONE INTERNAL YET THOUGH. I'LL KEEP ANYONE WHO IS INTERESTED POSTED THOUGH.

Man my S14 has been sitting since September of 2002. Im really pissed about this. Whats up with them promising everybody RB25 clips when they cant get this sh1t. Everything is going wrong for me. My S15 conversion haven't even clear custom yet....and I need that crap for my paint job. BTW my car has been sitting at the shop for 2 months already thinking that I was getting my engine from Daunttless.

So how many people have actually put down a deposit or paid in full for an RB25 clip? I've put down a deposit, Spec-V has one in for an RB20 clip, and EL240 has one coming too. Anyone else?

So you guys put the deposit down already? I talked to Vicky and she told me nobody has put down a deposit on the next shipment yet because she doesn't know whats in it and told me not to send my deposit yet which I have already purchased a money order for. I think Im gonna have to find somebody else that has an RB then. Damn, I thought I would have gotten my car ready for college in the fall.

LOL this is starting to smell like bull****. i paid in full I know for a fact. The owner seemed to know what was coming. Why would he not pass that info along. I give it to wednesday. if the shipment hasnt come in, I am cancelling my order. I am done with this. How can they NOT know what they purchased?? What do they just send thousands of doallrs to japan and say hey get some front clips???

Yeah...this is pissing me off like crazy. I tried to get engine from the previous shipment and tried to put a deposit on that and tell me to hold off on my deposit. When I called again they said the clip was all gone. Now I try to put a deposit again and tell me to hold off on the deposit again. Its just not my luck with ordering engine...first from Daunttless delays....now this.

Yeah. I was PISSED when she called and said my clip was junk. I was throwing ****. Yelling FUUUUUUUCk at the top of my lungs. My wife was like what the hell is wrong. I said my engien is gone. She starts laughing and said stop throwing temper tantrums. Oh well. I hate SR20's, but I may just get one. I want my 240 running at any exspense. I dotn care if I get another KA to be honest

Well I will believe them when i get a call saying ym **** is on the way.....LOL. It wouldnt bother me, except I am paying someone to help me (thanks again mcadam) But he is leaving soon. If I had a truck, I would tow my 240 to Cali and get it in person from venus since I am going this month anyway

Why does'nt someone just call them right now and tell them the situation around here and see what the real story is? Get the most up to date information and we can go from there

I'd do it but I'm at work...I allready have to minimize the window when I hear footsteps coming

Oh...and I insisted on placing a deposit because I want one of those gosh darned motors and with a deposit in, I feel secure knowing that I will get one over those that havent put in deposits. Also, she said I could have my pick of what came in, after the guy who put his deposit in first

If I dont like anything in this shipment, I'll wait until the next one...I want to ensure that I get a good motor and I'll have first dibs on any RB25 in the shipment after next
