I just talked to them...and they said shipment is coming in tomorrow and they still dont know how many RB25 clips are coming in though. But they told me that Nathan got first dibs on this one, and Im second on the list for the RB25 clips. I just overnighted their damn money order to them. They also said they have RB20s coming in for sure. SO hope that makes you feel better Spec-v5150

Not really. i am have become VERY pestimistic when it comes to things now. Just reading about everyone getting ripped off. Even ebay, I am EXTRA cautious. Before it was buy and go. I had a line on a brand new gauge for **** cheap, but the guy wouldnt COD that ****. I dont trust that. I would be more than willing to ship somethig COD as long as THEY pay the extra fees. So hopefully I can get past this stage soon and get the clip in my hands, where I am TOTALLY expecting it to be junk. If it isn't, well they would have EXCEEDED my expectations

I'm glad we think alike ;) thats why I will never buy another high dollar thing from an individual...its the best way to get screwed. As for ebay...I only buy from really reputable businesses and "power sellers" if it's over like a hundred bucks.

Yeah. Even with friends. If you want more than 20 bucks.....get a loan. That is the EASIEST way to get in an arguement. Not only do you lose a friend, but you are out your money too. LOLEbay is cool still...I have yet to be ripped of. I was kinda POed yesterday. i didnt read an auction well and got a APC boost gauge. wasnt so bad, but it read in BAR. The auction had PSI on the picture. Not a BIG deal, but it was brand new, so I cant complain. And as long as it serves it purpose, who cares who made it or what it reads. I dont feel as cautious with Venus having my almost 2G's because they are a business..high volume importer and I havent heard of anyone getting ripped by them. Maybe got a bad engine, but I dont really knock them for that. All they do is sell them. I would will take that over some guy who starts a company and gets shady

Amen...if they dont have a business liscense or at least TONS of happy buyers, forget it...that's the lesson I've learned! It's really sad that you cant trust anyone anymore.

True. I learned that too. It took me a almost two weeks to mail someone their front lip of my car and I felt like a total *******. I was like he is probably thinking I am gippin him. But I DID update him. That lip wasnt small. I had to eventually ship it in a catback box. My friends friend just happened to buy a catback and tell me about it.

See that is very strange considering the fact that Ronald told me that I would also have first dibs for a RB25 clip when they come in sometime this month. Funny thing is that i put a deposit down early June and personally drove down to Venus Auto and gave it to Ronald considering I only live an hour away from them. The day I went they had a shipment come in and everything was spoken for. So I just called them today and Vicki said that they would get a shipment in tommorow and will be closed because of unloading the container. Vicki also told me to call on July 10th to see if it is okay to pickup my clip. So it seems to me that they are promising everyone a clip and they better deliver.

LOL More BS. Whatever man. I'm through with this. I guess it doesnt concern me as much, but how many other RB20's are spoken for??? How do I know I am getting one??? Ant they aint answerign the phones tromorrow because they are unloading the clips and they close down on thursday for a week. Since when does a WHOLE businees shut down for a week??? Whatever...I dont want a headache...why did you post this el240sx you fuccer.....LOL j/p This is a handful. I seriously want my money back. But I also want that fuccing clip. I know I will be grinning ear to ear when I am doing wheel spins and roasting VR-4's (there is one I want to *** rape LOL), but at the same time I fed up with the BS, even if it isnt necessarily my concern because the same thing could happen to me. I am hoping they call tomorrow saying my s**** shipped. doubtful, but boy would it boost anm otherwise dull, hot, week. Not to mention I should already be knee deep in this swap as we speak but that is another thread

Hey Spec-V i am totally sorry for bumming you out but I figured I give you guys the heads up. When I went to their shop they were really disorganized and I mean disorganized. If i get a chance to pick up my clip sometime july if no problems occur, then I will definately let everyone know how the quality of the RB25/RB20 clips look.

I fiured they were HELLA disorganized. With my clip getting junked and when I talked to her, she seemed occupied and she said there were papers everywhere. And not knowing what is going to be on your shipment is crazy too. Oh well man. I fit falls through and I get my money back, I will probably buy a B16 powered CRX.

I was going to call to just get a refund. But even if I get another car, it puts me back to sqaure one, except Ill be making loan payments for a car and have to save money for the turbo to go in it. Kinda defeats the purpose. of me getting the loan. I wouldnt be mad, because I dont mind waiting at all, but I am working on someone elses time here. I dont have the tools necessary to do the swap myself and dont feel comfortable doing it alone. That is why mcadam is helping me. Plus he is taking the ol KA with him (i think). It is going to be a tight scedule. Plus I wanted to get some of the kinks worked out so I could drive it to texas. Not their fault really, but damn...oh well. life goes on.

Okay...I called Venus and I think I got everything sorted out. Who ever ordered the RB20...don't worry it'll be here the 10th of July. No one else has put a deposit. So your shipment is scheduled to go out after the 10th. Secondly, Nathan your deposit is fine....secondly y3llows14 your deposit came in today...i think...and you were told that the rb25 would be backordered from like 1 month ago. Everyone else who sent out deposits for the rb25 talked to Vickie way before you did and sent there deposits and confirmed there deposit orders before you. From what my cousin tells me, you've been comunicating through emails rather than actually confirming through telephone calls. Secondly, yeah I know the warehouse was disorganized, they're moving things around in order to unload the dock which is on the right side of the buiding. It makes it easier to move everything over and start stacking everything up once they remove it out of the container. And in terms of not knowing what they have available, (as I explained in another thread) The owner's bro-in law is the partner to owns the yards overseas, he email's a list with pix after he loads the containers. Then when they recieve the shipment they mark those that are available and those that are not. That's why they don't know what's available till after they do that. Lastly, in Vickie's defense, I know that she is the ONLY one working in that office, she deals with the walk-in customers, emails, phone calls, and paper work. Lastly, do you know how much mail shows up in the office? I know that she's always organizing the paper work invoved in the office. And the last thing I would like to say is that they are constantly reorganizing in order to make room for when the containier comes in. I know that they are rearranging the back warehouse and building new racks in order to place all the hood, bodyparts, etc....after all they've only been at that new location for like 5 months...

Ummm do you work for them or something....just a question. I am not bashing them. I like the fat that they at least called and said heyinstead of shipping you a ragedy engine, we are waiting. I am cool with that.....it could be worse (ahem). I just get anxious when someone is holding 1837 bucks of my money and I have no engine or invoice or anything. But since the are a business, i have more pateince. AND I know that these engines come from Japan. They get here when they get here ****. IF I had known I would be waiting and waiting and waiting, i would have never sent the money. What I should have down was used that money to get my KA rebuilt and payed off that loan, then used taxes or something to throw a kit on it. Oh well

Sorry to hear that you feel that way SPEC. I guess I would feel a little anxious too...If you feel that uncomfortable, why don't you ask for Vickie and have her fax over a copy of the invoice?

LOL good question. I have NO CLUE why I didnt. I mean they know who I am...I have called a few times. I have spokenm with Vicky about it twice and the owner (i believe) once. They reassured me, so....I am good. I just hope I can get it before the 28th. I am hoping around the 17 or 18th if they mail it on the 10.

SexySil is right about constantly reorganizing for more room. The day I showed up at Venus they had a container come in and there must have been like 30 clips in there. When I was there two people had already called for RB25 clips, and that was in like fifteen minutes. They must get hundreds of phone calls everyday considering they deal in a lot of different kinds of engines also. Plus the couple times that I spoke to Ronald he seemed like a very sincere man and wouldn't screw over anyone on purpose. Vicki was also very nice and very busy answering calls. I am willing to wait as long as it takes to get the engine because IMHO I feel that it will be all worth it in the end. Spec-V i totally feel for you considering that you are on a serious time limit and I hope everything works out for you man.

Yo thanks for the encouraging words. That is the only reason I am bummed. Otherwise I wouldnt care. They seem like good people though. And I cant really be mad at them. Hopefully they get it/ship it on the 10th and if it takes as long as they say (1 week), I will have MORE than enough time. My KA is almost ready to be taken out. I DONT want to remove my dash right now, but I kinda have to to get the ECU end of the harness out. After that, it is ready to go. All fluids drained....dam except oil. I may as well take off the dash. I have to get that DOHC cluster in anyhow. I read a write up on how to change the cluster without removing the dash though. I may just cut the harness. I dont think I need it. But Mcadam may need the uncut harness if he takes the KA. Well we could just reconnect them...duh. LOL

Hopefully if everything goes to plan then I should take my KA out by the end of the month and prep the car for the swap. Luckily my dad owns a shop and one of our mechanics is very well experienced in making custom parts. I plan on him making some custom mounts for the rb25 to sit lower and farther back in the engine bay and he will also help me do the swap. I feel that wiring the skyline gauge cluster is going to be the hardest part of the swap otherwise everything else should go pretty smoothly.

I am from the bay area in Nothern California. I really wasn't planning mass producing the mounts or anything but if they aren't to hard to fabricate they I wouldn't mind helping some people out.

I was half kidding...LOL BUT I would pay good money for some good mounts. Anyhow I am going back to Cali this month. But not the yay area. I am a southern Cali guy (San Diego)...CANT WAIT. Wish I was driving a RB20 powered 240, but instead I will be driving the KA powered Altima that is autotragic.

I like that body style very much and Maximas are pretty quick. A friend of mines had a 96 stick, and man did that thing haul, but I don't like the 2004 model maxiams, they look ugly to me.
