At one time I took my R32 downpipe off and put it right next to a Project Silvia 3" downpipe. If I remember correctly the length was about the same but the flange where it connects to the turbo outlet was rotated/aligned differently. Now I wish I had taken pictures to make sure I'm remembering this correctly.

EXHUAST IS EXTREMELY QUIET WITH THE 3" EXHUAST INSTALLED. I HAVE MEGAN RACING PRODUCTS AND I REMOVED THE SILENCER AND ALL AND IT IS QUIET, IT GETS LOUDER ON THE ROAD BUT IT IS STILL QUIET. THE PERFORMANCE GAIN WAS PHENOMINAL THOUGH, I SHIFTED INTO SECOND AT 8K RPM AND IT PUT THE CAR SIDEWAYS..... GOING STRAIGHT! I'M HAPPY WITH IT AND THIS WEEKEND I'M GOING TO PUT ON THE DOWNPIPE, HOPFULLY, IF IT FITS (IT LOOKS LIKE WGA IS RIGHT AND THE FLANGE IS TWISTED SLIGHTLY) AND I'M GOING TO PAY A VISIT TO CAMERON AND PICK UP A TEST PIPE SOON AFTER I PASS EMISSIONS.

I would also like to know if a SR down pipe would work on a RB...Wonder if the mounting is the same for a Rb20 and a Rb25...I am going RB25 with Mckinney mounts and they want 270 for the downpipe...where i live nowbody has a Mandrel bender...Please keep us informed if the SR pipe works please!!!

Check out http://www.tophatperformance.com. On their website under intake and exhaust they have ceramic coated downpipes listed for $125. It doesn't specify what size downpipe that is, but I bet that's 3 inch. These guys are (or at least were...not sure if they still are) the same ones that made the downpipes for Night 7 Racing.

That's awesome you can lay patch in 2nd that good with stock turbo.

I was going to upgrade to t3/t04e with .63 turbine and 50 trim compressor, but I think I'm gonna isntead use a .48 turbine for faster spool and more fun. I think if the stocker can be that much fun then this turbo, even with the smaller turbine would still be fun. And if it's too tiny, I'll just bolt up a .63 housing and be done.

I've got Pod filter with custom cold air box, 3" catback exhaust, gutted cat, stock d/p, Hybrid FMIC, a few degrees of timing advance, R32 VLSD, and the stock turbo. This thing has absolutely no problems stepping the back end out from under it on the 1-2 shift. My tires aren't the best in the world, but they're ok. I also have a stock clutch that has started to slip a little bit. The 240 with an RB20 swap makes for a fun little car ;)

ANYWAY THE SR DOWNPIPE DOESN'T WORK...... ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS CUT THE TURBO SIDE FLANGE OFF AND ROTATE IT SLIGHTLY AND IT'LL BOLT UP.

Sorry, but does it work or not. Or are you saying it does not work unless you cut the flange and rotate. The flange is the flange on the DP that connectes to the turbo outlet pipe correct. So does the downpipe hang down alot on the bottom or is it just right? I do not think it matters but what brand DP did you use?

IT DOESN'T WORK UNLESS YOU CUT THE FLANGE OFF AND ROTATE IT TO THE CORRECT POSITION. I'M TALKING ABOUT THE TURBO ELBOW TO DOWNPIPE FLANGE, YES. I PURCHASED A MEGAN RACING DOWNPIPE AND IT SHOULD HANG PERFECTLY IF THE FLANGE IS CUT CORRECT.

i cant wait. i think it's a way better situation to cut a weld a 3" pipe, then have one made for the same price.i'll be curious to see how low it hangs on a stock hight car. i'll try to make a comparassion to a dropped car
