Well, I have a Datsun 240z. I was thinking of keeping the stock L24 engine and just pimping it out. Though, after really looking into it, the amount of money and time would have maybe put me up to 150wrhp if I am lucky. The cost to power ratio is just ridiculous.

Because I have been riding in my buddies BMW 335xi a lot, I have been getting the need for speed, and a L24 N/A or beefed up just wont cut it.

So, for the costs I could get an RB20DET clip and installed for a bit cheaper then pimping out the L24 while getting a lot of power.

But I want to know everything about this motor first. What is its power band like?Fuel Economy in a 2300lb car? (Getting very important these days, would go V8 but that wont be good even in the light weight 240z)Reliability? (timing belt, turbo, gaskets, ect.)Its rated for 215/195 in most cases, are these numbers close to what the wheels get or is it closer to the crank numbers?200hp make at least a 6 second car in 2300lbs?How responsive is the turbo? In my friends 335xi you don't even notice it has turbos at any speed, but in my buddies 1JZ you can feel them come to life and then die off.Stock boost pressure of turbo?Peak efficiency of turbo?Three most beneficial modifications for a good price to power ratio.

What is its power band like? With the stock turbo, just like your buddies 1JZ

Fuel Economy in a 2300lb car? Depends how much you lay into it

Reliability? (timing belt, turbo, gaskets, ect.)<--- If you replace all of these things and keep up with normal maitenance you should have no problems(assuming you have good mechanical knowlege)

Its rated for 215/195 in most cases, are these numbers close to what the wheels get or is it closer to the crank numbers? After the upgrades that you will likely do to put the motor in, these are closer to numbers at the wheels

200hp make at least a 6 second car in 2300lbs? 6sec, 0-60? Is that what you mean?

How responsive is the turbo? Stock boost pressure of turbo? Look back to previous ?S

Peak efficiency of turbo? If you dont like the stock turbo you can always upgrade to a z31 or rb25 turbo for a little more power

Three most beneficial modifications for a good price to power ratio? Well you will probably already do them when you put them in, Intake, exhaust, fmic
