Ok so i've looked up this upgrade and i know you have to weld the bracket etc. My question's are 1. which quest alternator to use? 2. Seeing as i dont have a welder can somebody weld my bracket "if you have done it already" if i send them my bracket, and some money?

Most people I've seen run the pre-99 Quest Alternator - 110amps, 4 ribs.

Some have reported that the 99+ also work - 125amps, 5 ribs.

For reference, I run the 110amp version on my KA .

As for the bracket, I wouldn't know where you would get one, sorry.

Hope that helps somewhat.

that's the link to the thread being referred to above.

Good question on where to make the cut and weld though.

Ok so can somebody post pics of an altered bracket so i have some idea of where to cut and weld? I will have to take it to a shop to weld it, and i want to have something to show them so they dont look at me like jack*ss's.
