Does anyone know if the all the RB20/25/26 cams can be swapped with each other?Does anyone know if the Rb25 or 26 cams are more agressive and if they'll work in a RB20?

Yes you can run gtr cams in the RB20 head. You can also use the springs. And if you want to go all the way you can dwap over all the GTR rockers an lifters too but you have to machine the head.

And can anyone be more specific? Both RB25/6? Or just one?

You can use any cam i any head. You can also run exhs as inlet, but not other way around due to no CAS drive.

One of the cheap mods we were doing in Oki was to swap the DE cams into the RB20 do to a longer duration. We got noticeable results.

You're going backwards with the inlet cam.... less lift and duration.

WOULD A RB25DET EX CAM AND A RB26DETT IN CAM BE A GOOD COMBO FOR MID TO HIGH RANGE POWER?

THE REASON I'M LOOKING FOR MID-RANGE POWER IS THIS IS A MORE OF A STREET/DAILY DRIVER AND I'D RATHER HAVE POWER AT CRUSING SPEED THAN DOWN LOW OR REALLY HIGH.

so if i put a exhaust rb20de cam in my det i dont have to change any springs, lifters or anything i can just drop them inI wont have to worry about valve float right

The RB isn't a interference motor right because its a hemispherical chamber?

The RB20 isn't intereference, I don't know for sure about the 25 and 26. I'm fairly sure the 26 isn't a non interference type.

Man, I can't believe I actually installed a smaller intake cam on my RB20. It just goes to show you can't just listen to someone and assume they are correct. Although the source was reliable I thought. The guy had built several high HP rotaries.

How many cams did his rotor have? :)

BTW, rotary porint is about increasig duration of the port, and the widening of them is effectivly the lift ;)

A set of RB25 cams sounds nice for my 20. Now to get someone to part with them...in about a year when I have the money. :)

He has two GTR's that aren't slow either...just not as quick as his FC and FD.

Yes the motor I have is from Venus. $1200 + Shipping to San Diego. Ended up being about $1700. I think shipping for you will be the expensive part.

So, just to be sure..

The RB20DE cams have a smaller duration on the intake than DET, and the exhaust is the same as the DET. The only difference would be the R31 intake cam which has 8 degrees more than the 20DET cams.

So, not worth a swap unless you have an R31 intake cam...right?
