It was a super nice day today which seems to be the common case the past few weeks I've been back at school.
While taking a break from some reading for my classes went out for a short drive and took a few videos.

First is a short walk around video of the car:

Second is a 22psi pull, starting halfway thru second thru fourth rolling into it:

If anyone has video of my car from the dragon i'll really like a copy of it, i was told by several people the car was belching fireballs.
If you have videos of your car then post them up, lets see what nico has to offer!

on the dyno I didn't have the exhaust hooked up so it was open down pipe. The last vid the exhaust is hooked up and the waste gate is not venting.

Damn Carl. Looks like your RB30 is running like a damn champ. Unlike mine. Lol. My street tuning skills = teh suck. I donno if mine would even crack 13s. What turbo do you have on there again? Have you raced yours yet?

yeah man, engine runs strong and pulls great vaccum...i think the dragon runs pushed the rings into their final seating.
i see a nice strong -6.3psi vac (approx -12.5 to 13in/hg) at idle now here at school, normally i would only see that at home, at school the elevation is 2200ft above sealevel.
Vac sounds low but the cams really dropped the idle vacuum.
running a gt30r on my setup and its silly responsive, i love it.
no racing for me as everytime the car goes to the strip something horribly expensive breaks.

Yeah you did a hone and re-ring correct? I just aligned my rings and reused without a hone. The bores were slightly out of round too (to be expected). I can't believe how well it worked though. 150 psi across the board and I pull around 0.4 bar on idle too. Doesn't burn a drop of oil.

I think thats the perfect turbo for the RB30. I think my HX35 7blade is just slightly too big (I wanted max responsiveness). Maybe once I get my tune sorted out it will be better.

Lol. I originally ordered a sprung 6-puck, i somehow ended up with a sprung 4-puck clutch. Which wouldn't be bad if it wasn't for the fact that I'm sure the RB20 trans does not appreciate it one bit. It will be seeing the 1/4 regardless. That's what I built it for :naughty: .

bkos90, looks like you are making some decent power. I don't think you have a boost creep problem though. You should be running that turbo at least 24-25 psi, so it's not a problem :dblthumb: Seriously though, if you are doing that at 14 psi, you can expect a HUGE improvement with another 7-8 psi. Probably 100hp or so. What compressor and exhaust housing do you have? RB25, right? What mph was that 1/8th @?

The thing is in 3rd gear when i get on it, the boost would fly to 15psi and then slowly go up. At the end of 3rd gear im on like 19-20psi
You dont think thats boost creep, i have no clue to this point... If i put the car on 12psi or 15psi it doesnt creep at all, but if i put it on 19 then it goes to 16 and by the end reaches 19psi.
it was really bad with my old manual boost controller (valve type), now im running the ebay NXS ball/spring type and its a lot better.

Its an rb25det S2, completely stock. never had anything changed like: water pump, oil pump, timing belt... etc Everything is how i got it with ~50k miles. Motor came out of an R34, so it was obd 2... Switched it to obd 1 and later on went on Microtech stand alone ECU, a good friend of mine knows how to tune pretty well on the street, so right now its on a street tune
As for the turbo: Its an HX40 (super 40) billet compressor wheel, i really dont know the trim. Im guessing its like a .72a/r
The exhaust housing is the Bullseye power BEP bolt on .70A/R... stats to build boost @3k, by 4k its around 5-7psi

Best time on the 1/8 was 7.76 @93.3mph im really dying to take it to the quarter, kinda far though :(
here is the 7.76 pass
