I don't think that would be the best approach to dialing in a balanced setup. Guessing the flex in the rubber front bushings is not a sound strategy. I personally would install urathane bushings and dial in your suspension components around that.

The rear subframe bushings are more for a traction issue when putting down high hp in the S-chassis. If you don't have them, you will get wheel hop during launches. Obviously they take out some of the play in the rear suspension too.

thats what I figured, he had me thinking though about exactly how much was the S chassis off with a rb26 in the motorbay.

seeing as the Kei office setup at 9kg/mm and 7kg/mm is for 4CYCLINDER motor id suggest goint 2kg/mm heavier in the front for the extra weightat least run a 12kg/mm spring..and the MEGANs r damped for the spring rates im running..seeing as im running the race series the spring rates r 12 and 10 so im switching to 14 up front. they range up to 16..but i think thats over kill

dont go to a stiffer spring up front, it will only make it understeer worse...i had silkroads on my s13 with 8/7 spring rates and it handled amazingly well.if it makes any diffrence my car sat HIGHER in the front after swapping the 20 into it vs the ka, im honestly not sure how that worked out but it sits visibly higher now...take that is you will.

traction? with 700whp?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHHAHHAHHAHHAHA

dude with 400 you can basically break tires loose any time you want. 700hp is a MOTHER****ING****LOAD of horsepower for a S chassis.

So, your saying I shouldn't be going anywhere near that high of power as it would be too uncontrolable?regurdless of what tire and suspension setup I'll have?

why don't you stop bench racing and enlighten the forum on how "700whp+ with a good full coilover setup" s14 feels when its done.

I'm in the middle of rebuilding my motor and if I'm willing to spend another 1500 now along with what I already have plained I don't think getting close to 700whp is out of the question. I am just trying to feel out how much or what is a realisitic power goal to a good controlable car. As if its not going to workout too well why build a motor that can handle it?

that was also in my plain, so your conifident s14 can handle 500whp+ rb's? with a good over all suspension setup and wider tires?
