Sept 2008 Drift Tengoku magazine has an article about a LPG powered Y31 drift car. Nothing real special but thought it was relevant to this thread. Pick up a copy of the mag if you can translate... I think the motor is a VG20E, 2.0L n/a, and makes 105ps (hehe)

Edit: PS there seems to be RB20P which is a SOHC RB20 fitted with an LPG setup
wikipedia wrote:The RB20P is the autogas LPG (Liquified petroleum gas) version of the RB20, but with 12 valves (OHC).

Its a great idea ... you don't lose power. I have been contacting a few companies that sell LPG injection kits. Carb setup is much easier and cheaper and have been done since the 60's. The misconception that you lose power is only when you use the stock gasoline ecu tune to run propane and none of the sensors or ecu tune for lpg ...

Ya I would really like to see some other guys experimenting with this also. I just don't have the money at the moment to get everything together that I need.

Since gas decides to go up im spending around 160$ week for my travels, Which is killing my play money.

But hopefully soon I will get back on it.

Let me know if someone else decides to experiment. im interested in the results as well.

Well little update!! Im getting started a little on the switch, We have been experimenting on a few other cars.

We have came up with a Concept design thats going to Eliminate the FMIC, And most all the intercooler piping.

What we are doing is Designing a Intercooler that is a 12x12x10 box that has a cooler inside the box that the propane fuel will be running threw and is used like a ICE box design that the intercooler piping off the turbo will hook to one side and the intake pipe will hook to the other and will cool the air temps, Basically with our design and our calculations we should get close to 32 degree intake temps from using our new intercooler.

So in theory we are going to make Alot more power not only with the fuel change but also b/c we can take the fuel and use it as a cooler for the intake temps.

Next update will be pics and video of the swap

Ya im interested also!! If I had my funds right I would of already know LOL. But ASAP it will be done.

According to our computer calculations of a regular air intercooler and our propane cooler it says we will make 100hp more than a stock air intercooler!! So im looking to see some goods numbers.
