Actually if you classify a mount not rusting for strength then it does make it stronger. Rust can eat the crap out of the metal and eventually really weaken the mounts so yeah it would make it stronger in the long run.~ANDREW~

does the custom driveshaft hook up to a 240 diff? skyline diff? or do i have to specify? i have the s13 vlsd on now, and it is like 1inch or less longer than a stock s13 diff. so i would imagine for all the different diffs you can put in would require a different flange? this is great. i was going to try to make my own mounts but i dont want to make anything not line up perfectly. thanks for any replies

I have some pics of the mounts Cameron sent me. They look nice and the welds are all good. The powder coat also looks nice. Thanks for the great mounts Cameron I can't wait to get that motor in.~ANDREW~

oh well i guess the driveshaft flange to diff topic isnt that important. in fact im going to make one out of PVC to save money and weight. for strength ill powdercoat it.

obviously. i guess to reword my origininal question, are the skyline diffs r200's? im just wondering what info is necessary to give when ordering a driveshaft over the phone seeing as though not everyone is using the same diff, ie open, vlsd, kaaz etc. im sure there is something im missing here, im sure someone will be more than happy to point it out.

They SHOULD all be the same. other than the ABS sensors on some and not others, all the diffs that are a bolt on deal have the same dimensions (was going to say they are all r200, but not sure about the skylines). The difference of less than an inch for the ABS sensor shouldn't cause a problem because driveshafts have enough play to allow variations like that.

In fact, I believe that a driveshaft measured for use with the mounts will work without them, and vice versa. Hope that answers your question.

hey night, im thinking of getting an rb26dett. mckinney has a mount/driveshaft kit for it to fit in s13 w/ s13 xmember, and i am wondering if you do as well? also, mckinny offers custom downpipe to fit w/ their kit, do you offer same. im trying to gather information. i know your alot cheaper than them cuz your not as well known, and im seriously considering getting everything from you. but i need to know if you have everything i need for swap, and prices too. also, what could you get an rb26dett engine w/ rb25det transmission for? let me know man, [email protected], or you can just post here.

Hey crischapmnGo to night7racing.com. cam states he is going to work on rb26 mounts and it would be cheaper to go to a shop and get a d/s custom made.

hey night, those are looking great! id probabbly pick up a set of everything off of you. i know someone said that abs shouldnt make a difference because of the small amount of size difference, but could you confirm that for me? it might be a difference of x amount but the driveshaft is also built on a tolerance of x amount in x direction. i have abs and just wanted to double check. also tophat offers downpipes for rb20s/sr20s for 125$, and you were saying 350 for an rb26dett dp, what about rb25 downpipes? also you were saying the driveshafts would be made out of either aluminum or steel. thats a big difference in rotational mass vs. strength, will we get to choose what ours is made out of? thanks,-kurt

do you currently have an rb25det clip in stock? if so, how much for shipping? and is the 5500 quoted for 26 shipped price?

If it helps your decision any. I bought a motorset instead of a clip, and it worked out better for me. I used mckinneymounts, so I didn't need the R33/R34 crossmember (which usually don't get with a motorset).

So if you are going to use a mount kit anyway, save yourself some $, and get a motorset.
