Not my auction. Depends on your idea of a fair price.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItemThis might give you an idea what people are paying for used blocks. Sorry missed the "New" part in your post.

I don't think he wants a "NEW" block.Maybe he means a New To You block lol

If not then this is going to be just like those "Where do I get a Nismo GT500 Crate motor for cheap" threads. HAHAHA lol

This place sells new long blocks for the USD equivenlent of $10,350.http://www.justjap.com/parts_nengines.htmPOA for the bare blocks though.

It has been said multiple times, cheap and RB do not go together. Maybe we should ban the word "Cheap" in the RB forum?

Depends if you're running 2wd or 4wd.. there are other block options if you're 2wd and alot cheaper.

Not to burst your bubble (okay maybe a little) but you're looking for new parts of an engine that was in production about a decade ago. Why are you looking to build it from scratch? To spend tons of money on something you can rebuild better/cleaner/stronger/faster from a complete motorset? Just think of the research you will have to do to find all the fasteners and their diameters/pitches/lengths not to mention sourcing new accessories, turbos, head, crank (good luck there too), and intake manifold. You're crazy man because this is madness...

This guy obviously wants to spend lots and lots of $$$.

Let him.

When I get my R34 Z tune we'll see who's faster lol. (Tri-turbo, quad NAWS!!!)

HAHA just think were bitching about spending $30 on rubber washers.

Think about EVERY single nut, bolt, washer, etc. HAHAHAHAHA

Well on that note. I think I remeber Phase2 raping...uh...I mean selling exhaust manifold studs, nuts and washers for like $17 each. Hahaha that's $204 plus shipping on $hitty OEM exhaust studs that break.

Seriously, acside if you are going to spend all this money, you can give me the money for me to build it for you and it will be better than new.

Darius,

Those $17 studs are out of Stainless and were supposedly a single run from ARP. (I got a complete set of OEM studs and lock-nuts for $43-ish from Nissan Japan)

I got a new set of Lawson 10.9 grade studs with Copper lock nuts for like $30 and I still have some left over somewhere too.

Dunno if you can buy directly from Lawson without an account or not??

If you are running a stainless manifold or an OEM organic gasket, stainless fasteners will be fine. If you are running the stock manifold with a copper gasket, the stainless fasteners will experience more thermal expansion than the manifold will and the seal is effectively loosened. In the realm of short fasteners, the thermal expansion difference between cast iron and stainless, assuming a 1200 degree F, is small. From my rough calcs, it is about 0.40mm which could be significant if there is no play in your gasket.

Moral of the story, stick with steel fasteners because they expand more closely to the cast iron manifold than stainless.

Woah $24,000? Actually, that's not looking like too bad of a deal for me right now. I'm currently up to about $16k for my motor swap, but I have mounts and a driveshaft.

How much $$ do you plan to spend??

For some reason I don't think the crate engine comes with a wire harness and sensors. Could be but I have no idea.

Why don't you just buy a skyline if you have the money for a N1 Crate engine????????

REALISTICALLY what do you want to do???????
