i finally got to run it at the track..best time of the nite was a 13.8 @ 103.. with a 2.2 60ftthats at 8psi.. Boost controler took a ****.. so thats all i could runand third gear i have to granny shift into due to a worn out bushing making the shifter sloppy... all and all.. im pretty happpy.. next week the new turbo should be on.. and ill have a new boost controller..

Night says he went 12.6 on street tires.. at stock boost... i call BS..

13.8 is pretty damn good IMO. I'll bet you can do alot better with more practice and your shifter fixed. Plus that turbo.

I doubt Night did that too.. but I thought he had slicks on? Maybe I read it wrong somewhere.

Nice job for now..

Hmm that's kinda dissapointing. I would think a S13 would run deep 13's and s14's run mid 13's. What was your race weight?

Maybe the tires........It seems you have a LSD with your 2.2 60ft. Is it possible to get even lower w/ street tires?

What other parts do you have Cyris? Just a stock engine with stock boost isn't going to pull heavy numbers.

well as far as nitto555r drag radials, it wont get much better for a street tire, also, 1.9 6oFT time is awesome, just concentrate on not missing third next time ;), practice makes perfect, keep runnin her bro, im sure at 13psi you'll hit about 12.7s or so

Or if you improve your compression by replacing your head gasket or whatever else is causing a low compression problem, you'll see a lot more hp and a lot better run.

Wow, I am amazed at your times. Or better yet, the times that you are capable of, just haven't ran. Nice work.

Cyris I thought u did a compression test and they were all in the low 130's and one was even lower??? I'm lost man :( I'm sure wondering because I'm hoping thats the only reason its going slower than expected

yea.. we did the compression check when the motor was in the clip still.... and it was really low..

hoping now.. after the motor running for the while.. the oil set back into the rings.. and the compression will be up where it spodda be..

I'd still replace the headgasket or piston rings anyways. That can be the main problem why you are not hitting mid 12's to high 12's right now anyhow. I had a 1991 240SX that was running mid 18's because of bad compression. I had a friend with another 1991 with less aftermarket parts on it than my 240 and he was running low 17's. That's a full second and a half difference just because he had excellent compression and I didn't....

Nice looking sleeper lol. Gotta love when a stock looking car comes up and smokes everything else at the track.

LOL so true. My car is a bucket. I have oxidation , a few sccratches, a dent in the door. Overall lackluster looking 240.

So what was the whole run like? meaning 1/8 time also. Just checking because thats all I have been able to really run. (tuning issues but soon to be rectified) I have got a 2.0 60' and a 9 flat with the car acting up. But with street tires I dont see mid 12's at stock boost but you never know. So are you in vegas?? If so I may be heading that way for one of the next holidays maybe we could meet up if I make it that way maybe even hit the track if open.

If you are hittin 13's on stock boost thats not to complain about and all this loosing compression talk tells me you are going to hit some better times when you get the problem fixed.

My 240 hatch with stock rb26dett ran 12.3 @ 118 mph on 17 psi and a street tire one legger. I just completed my headwork and am putting the car back together and we'll see what I can pull after that.

wat size rims? as that will change final drive also. but compression is the factor. track temp also kills performance. there are a bunch of little things but i think it was a nice run...im more focused on you upping your times.
