How did the clutch feel? Any slipping? I would have imaged that you would have mentioned in, but I am just curious. I just wonder what the condition is of the clutchs in these clips that have been sitting for who knows how long.

Jim Wolf Tech. has a clutch for that transmission for $550 dollars. It comes with the pressure plate and holds over 500 lbs tourqe. If you call them its the 300zx n/a clutch for the RB25. They will know what one you are talking about.

You should try the ACT and report back. I'm going to go with that one...

I have heard a few bad things about ACT, but alot of people dont properly break them in causing all kinds of problems, too.

altiman has a point, Nizmo your friend's clutch probably began slipping like mad after only 2 weeks because he didn't go easy on it for the first 500. I've heard it is EXTREMELY important to do this, and I doubt if it is a car he drag races and its on;y been in there two weeks, that he babied it for the first 500.

yes breaking in the clutch is important, all the components need time to settle before you go launching and beating on it.

I hit mid-high 14s my first time to the track. IMO, It's all in the launch. I finally got a 13.9@102 w/ a 2.2 60ft on street tires. My clutch was slipping really badly too. What clutch is a cross-reference to the RB20. Is it the 300zx TT or NA? Thanks in advance.~Tony

I think even the 26 is the same. You can bolt an RB25 transmission to the 26 so why not?

I know the 26 bolts up to the 25 transmission but I guess that would make sence.

Explain how. None of the parts within the AWD system interfere with the clutch...

this is true, but its usually better to run a stroner clutch with AWD as the clutch genrally has to grab haardre because there won't be much wheelspin. Either way, we need to just get someone to clarify whether or nort this clutch wold work for the 26 transmission as well as the 25

you do know that the skyline isn't real AWD right? Its most always RWD with the occassional AWD when it loses traction.

Though I'm sure you knew that.

THE RB26 FLYWHEEL IS THE EXACT SAME AS THE RB20'S THE CLUTCH SYSTEM IS STRONGER THOUGH. THE RB26 CLUTCH IS ALSO A PULL STYLE AS OPPOSED TO THE RB20 PUSH.
