However there are very very few police officers that actually use lasers. Since you have to actually stop and hold the laser gun out the window. Most police are way to lazy. For me, my radar detector has saved my *** many times, and on wide open roads in Cali it helps. Just seemed like a pretty hypocritical statement to me.
Yes, I was referring to the laser gun. Thanks you for the correction. However where I live, there's NY and PA state cops sitting in their little "cubbys" pointing a gun at on coming traffic. I think your statement of "very very few police officers that actually use lasers" is only indigenous to your area and does not pertain to PA /NY state.

Not quite sure of your hypocritical statement comment though. Hypocritical would be me saying I don't speed excessively but I have and use a radar detector. Don't get me wrong, I've owned a couple of whistlers and escort passports, but when I had them I found myself driving with them on and not speeding as to be able to slow down fast enough so I don't get caught. I finally just wised up and decided not to speed anymore. But hey,...that's just me. In the end, it's your car, your license, your money, your points

Besides,..if you speed, how are people gonna see your sweet lookin' sexy car? All they'll see is a blur.

The sun visor

Behind the dashboard

The picture with the yellow line is the full route i ran my wire. Imagine your looking behind the steering wheel and all that. Hopefully this will help you

Adidas2go, how well does your detector pick up laser up on the visor? I was under the impression that the lower on the windshield, the better the chance of picking up the beam. This is because the police usually aim for either the headlight or grill area for their readings. The spread of the beam may not make it to the dectector if mounted too high. I have my whistler on the dash with the cord just running down the side of the speedo hub to the dash aux port, but interested in a cleaner look and more stealth from prying eyes looking for an easy break in present.

It's been a few years since I've last seen or heard of it and I'm sure there are other makers now but didn't some one put out a radar that you mounted in the grille and ran the remote back into the cabin? Something is telling me that it was Escort but not sure?...

I pick up laser on my air station constantly because its a missile testing base. However i don't pick it up on the roads which just leads me to believe they just don't use it. So in short it does pick up laser where its placed

I was saying its hypocritical because if you speed theres no reason you should be telling anyone else not to. However since you have stated you don't ever speed, you operantly didn't make a hypocritical statement.

Well I think the relative word here is "speed" If you classify speeding as going over the posted speed limit, whether it's 1mph or 50mph, then yes I am guilty. However, we have to take into consideration that not all cars are made the same and people do different things to their vehicle that will throw off the stock mph ( bigger/smaller tires, gearing, etc AND that cops ( at least in my area ) have that rule of thumb of 10mph.
