Don't worry when you'll have it, you'll be glad you waited for it to be this improved! the Y-pipe is art mixed with raw power!. gives way more than exhausts and is like half the price of the cheapest ones.

Ok now for the sway bar review. first of all, the bar I got IS BEEFY!!! its thick sturdy and it not hollow like the Stock one. it's 22mm compared to the hollow stock 18mm. the one I got is a prototype one that at its lowest stiffness is about 15% to 20% stiffer than the Stillen one. It's two way adjustable.

this prototype RSB's hardest setting doesn't work with stock endlinks but since I had the racingline ones it worked for me perfectly. Joe warned me that I might not be able to use the bar's stiffest setting because the bar sat dangerously close to the brakelines on Blackmobiles 2.5S altima coupe. Didn't have this prob with my 17inch stockers. so I was able to test the bar at the highest stiffness. yay!

btw the bar will have corrections made to it so that both setting will work with the Stock endlinks, so don't think you'll be forced into buying any extra endlinks if you don't want to, although you should because they are awesome and adjustable too.

ok so the fun part. the TEST DRIVE!

I did some HEAVY slaloming and you could feel the weight transfer from back to front, it was awesome! in heavy acceleration the car didn't liftoff the front as much as before and it felt really flat and leveled.during the quick left and right maneuvers the car got some awesome liftoff oversteer ( !!!!!!!) which helped a lot in keeping traction at the front. The curves are also soo much more easy to take. Max acceleration until I see the apex then weight transfer and liftoff oversteer into the corner and finally power off at the end. It was AWEEESSSSOOOOMMME!!!

and this might seem counter intuitive but the ride quality has improved!!!like "wtf?!" you might be telling yourselves.Well instead of the rear bouncing up left-right right-left (was very slight before but it added to the effect) now its like the whole car bounces (needs a seriously crappy road for that) but stays leveled! the potholes don't seem to disturb the rear of the car as much.

verdict:LOVE THIS UPGRADE.

Pros: Less squat when acceleratingLiftoff oversteerBetter weight transfer(hard turns make the car lift the rear inside wheel so all the weight is supported by the 3 other wheels making the front wheel get more traction)Rear doesn't bounce as much as beforeBetter perceived ride quality

Cons: None at this time

this is based on what... you did stiffness tests on this vs the Stillen one? Don't make claims like this against other products without some sort of factual basis...

thats what joe told me so thats why I wrote that... how else could I have known lol?

his words:[...] 15-20% stiffer then Stillens ( which is claimed to be 20% over stock). We've made the bar quite stiff LOL, but it feels great so far. [...]

hey, there's nothing wrong with competition, actually, competition is what keeps everyone on their toes... and I'm all for folks coming out with new products for the coupe... HOWEVER... to make claims that somehting is x% stiffer than STillen's, and to call them out on it like that doesn't seem to be in the spirit of good competition. I am NOT sponsored by Stillen, but we don't have to call out another company's products with no factual proof just to promote this one, that is all I'm saying...

so say that it is 16.67% thicker than the Stillen bar... that would be 100% accurate and verifiable.... but if we make claims of bar stiffness, let's be able to back them up with test results in the form of lbs @ 1" travel and lbs @ 2inch travel... if you post those numbers, and have those to show, well then that would be a selling point to use, but just have the data to back up the claims is all I'm asking

ok. I'll let Joe reply to this. I'm just the messenger

btw here are the Stillen numbers. I think it will be usefull if one wants to compare once we get more info from racingline.

The specifications are below:

OEM Rear Sway Bar0.730" Thick - Hollow Bar - 1/8" Wall280 lbs. @ 1" Travel580 lbs. @ 2" Travel

STILLEN Rear Sway Bar0.750" Thick - Solid Bar320 lbs. @ 1" Travel = 14.3% Stiffer700 lbs. @ 2" Travel = 20.7% Stiffer

So basically when loaded, the STILLEN rear bar is 20% stiffer than OEM.

[QUOTE]

that would be good, but he probably won't be ab;e to give accurate measurements yet being that you have the prototype and general availability probably won't happen for another month or so (going by the Y-Pipe's time table)...
