I am 6'3" 220 pounds and I am having trouble finding a racing seat that I will fit in. If there are any other big guys that put seats in their car, which ones did you pick.

I can help you!

Im 5'8" 210 , and i bought this.....

Its Buddy Club "wide version" racing seat. If your that tall , your going to want a side mount seat with super low down rails , Buddy Club also makes these. If you get a bottom mount seat , your face will be pressed agaist the headliner.

Here are the Buddy Club super low down rails , wich even come with the belt attachment.(yes i know the seat "perches" are backwards , i just sat them on to take a pic before install)

I paid $365 for the seat , and $160 for the rails from http://www.mamsparts.com/

I have a sparco EvoL (same as Evo2) on a custom rail. Wider seats apparently don't work so well with the bride rails, so a friend of mine made one for me. It sits me right on the cat hump, so it's physically impossible for the seat to be any lower I have about 4-5" of headroom, and I'm 6'2".

I'm about 6'2 and 215ish.

I bought a sparco speed over summer for cheap and i love it. I made my own rail since the seat didn't come with one and I'm a cheapass. It sits just a little high for my liking, but nothing that negates how well the seat holds me. I have a little extra room to go down if I change the rail a little bit, but given how much of a pain in the *** it was to make I think she'll stay that high for a while.

Aftermarket seats freaking pwn.

We are putting a sparco evo in the time attack car. They make the II and the III or is it xl and xxl these days for bigger people. I'm a 35 waist and that seat is TIGHT but comfortable enough for a 3 hour drive. Its always going to come down to sitting in a seat before you buy it.

im about 6'4 and 260. in my car previously , i had the cheap a$$ APC seats and those where the most comfortable seats i been in.. im a big guy and it was always a pain squeezin in tight *** little guy racing seats...

the one thing that i did do was APC seats are covered with really cheap cloth... so i took it to an upholstery(think thats how you spell it lol) place and had them re do it in nice black pleather....yes pleather real leather was too much...lol....

but to the point ....... APC seat.....get it re done.....and then just make custom brackets for it thats what i did.....

^ The word your looking for is Homologated.

"The Sparco EVO is FIA Approved for race cars that require a FIA Homologated Racing Seat."
