Thats awesome. I can see the next F&F. They won't be racing for money, girls, or slips. Nope the future of street racing is for the hookup at MikyD's. LOL!!!

Mcdonalds is nasty anyway. I beat this dude is a turbo 1g DSM, stock '89 with 219k miles and a worn clutch. He was even cheater-starting. I dunno what he was doing but by about 60mph he was done. I know it was turbo i could hear it making all sorts of noise

not any slower than a stock 24o, stock for stock, they're both mid to low 16second cars (most of em anyway). 9/1o times i beat my friends 99 RS 5spd, and 9/1o times i beat my other friends 93 24o 5spd (both have about 11ok) and they are VERY close in a race all the way to about 1oomph.

some piece of crap RS. I was supposed to race my friend in his RST(yes I said RST, Figure it out) He's bout half second faster than me but with a good r/t an 60' i should be next to him. But he wont race due to the fact hes drivin to chicago an doesnt want somethin to break so were racing when he gets back in like 2 weeks.

the 96 RS had the same motor as the GS in those particular bodies, they produced 140 hp out of a 2.0

the earlier RS had a crappy 1.8 with a massive 91 hp

I would so pimp a 91 hp car. Imagine the fuel economy.

First off, hello to everyone I had a '97 RS until 2 weeks ago when someone ran me off the road and the car did two 360s flew off a 25' embankment and flew into the woods. Fortunately I'm ok, but now Im shopping for a replacement. Since you guys are comparing the two this seems like a perfect opprotunity for me to ask a few questions. But what Im wondering is what kind of times are you guys getting in the 1/4 mile with bolt ons?? I know you guys are saying that RSs are slow, but I ran a best of 15.46 (on a track that goes slightly uphill so it should have been faster) with a CAI, 2.5" exhaust, Underdrive pulley and a jeep TB (60mm) and want to replace my car with something that is comparable. Thanks

no, I didnt have the 2.4L just a box stock 2.0 with the mods I listed, hehe. It was amazing how many people came up to me after that run and asked if my car was turbo or spraying, lol (mostly honda guys though). They respond to mods well and it doesnt hurt that I can drive pretty well (atleast I like to think so). I just wish I could have taken it to a flat track to see what it was really capable of. But there are a few other guys over on 2GNT that are running mid to low 15s with a NA 2.0. And be a little weary of a turbo RS, they respond very well to boost. They are capable of mid to low 14s, possibly high 13s if driven right.

And I know this is a nissan forum and Im really really leaning towards a 240sx and doing an SR swap. I rode in a guys 240 w/ a turbo kit and it hauled a LOT of a$$, lol. Im more about going fast than looking good, but the 240 is a beautiful machine, as was the eclipse. Once I get the 240 it will be a couple months until I can afford the SR swap and was just curious as to what kind of times you guys were running with just bolt ons.

Oh and one more thing, why does it say Im driving my mom's car under my name on the left? I mean I am for the time being but I dont remember putting that anywhere when I registered, lol.

yeah I have a race lined up with a gs-t spyder. he has intake, cat-back, and that's it...My 240 has a ca18det with intake, 3-inch, tunned ecu, triple puck clutch, front mount (itll be in by then) and turbo piping (goes with the fmic)...I wonder who's going to win? Yeah and he said he'd go for money.

with those mods you'll probably take the spyder. They are pretty heavy when compared to a 240 (like almost 3200lbs), plus its FWD, race him from a stop.
