I'm not saying that the Z06 is king, and I believe the supra is one of the baddest cars ever made, I just hate it when people down a car that deserves respect just because it's not and import like a lot of people do. The information you got must be from the first version of the Z06 (1999-2000). I looked on a couple of sights through google and found many different numbers. The Z06 was .98 -1.03, while the supra was .89 - .99. The lowest I foung for the Z06 was right with the highest for the supra. But in defense of the supra, that was higher than I thought. And Discreet, I never said the Z06 owns the road, but if you can't respect a car that hangs and sometime beats $200,000 supercars, then you're just biased.:icon18

About the z06 pwning the road, I got your name confused w/ somebody else's...sorry about that.

Regardless, I'm not disrespecting the Z06. If I had the money to buy one, it would be the first domestic I'd pick up.

But then again, on the same note of respecting a car that hangs and sometimes beats $200,00 supercars, you have to respect a sub-$9000 s13/s14 that can hang w/ this same car. :)

It was me that said the ZO6 pretty much owns the road, except for the occasional Viper, streetbike, or unstreetable Supra. The ZO6 is so subtle, so easy to drive, so predictable at the limit. Scoot around town at a calm pace, and the ride and feel of the car is totally forgiving. Pick up the pace a bit, hammer the gas, and you have instant gobs of torque. Stomp on the brakes, and you have nearly endless, fade-free stopping. Shift weight turning and cresting a rise, and the car will precisely communicate everything that's happening beneath you. Very responsive, very predictable, very worth the asking price. It's an amazing machine. The car is an all around performer, in factory trim. Drive one, or, better yet, drive all the above mentioned cars and you'll be impressed with the driveability and real world accessability of the ZO6....on top of it's stellar performance appeal. I despise many cars. I especially turn my nose up at most every item that GM rolls of the assembly line. My old boss' ZO6 changed my opinion of GM somewhat, but it also made me very aware that the budget, R & D department, and fit & finish are worlds apart from the standard GM vehicles. My only gripe with the ZO6 is the standard issue Delco radio, found in many other GM automobiles. Thankfully, the car comes with instructions for removal of the radio for "trackday use."

I dislike GM, but thankfully, they've given the Corvette program a large budget to build a very solid performance car that can be daily driven.

Oh yeah, that's why I got my S14, so I can surprise those people that underestimate what a car like this is capable of with a little tuneing.:alcoholic
