and uhm no 50k+ car is ever considered for the young crowd. They are considered for the middle age crowd, because that is who has the money. It's a simple consideration of marketing to the populus who can actually afford your vehicle.

The AVG corvette owner is over 40, and makes 6 figures, and is college educated. Doesn't mean they are geared towards that crowd specifically. I'm sure most people wouldn't mind rolling in a vette..

Some of us own both.

And really folks this hostility by some members ( not you Alti ) is wearing thinner by the day.

Pito,

precisely. If we had the autobahn here or were allowed to travel at much higher rate of speed, what is considered fast would surely be different.

Fred, I would love to own both of your cars. I love the way your 240 looks, I've showed it to countless friends while searching the member's ride section for new ideas for my personal s13. It makes me wanna coupe to do a s13 silvia front. On the other hand, you just wouldn't be the Fred we all know and love if you didn't have your monster of a Q. I wanna see both of your cars race each other in a drag race with the bottle opened on the Q

I race my Q on the drag strips and the road. I have staid nose to nose with a WRX from 20 to 60. I have smoked a 2002 firebird 80 to 140. My 1/8 of a mile time is better then my brothers and he drives a all wheel drive tirbo. I raced a Lambo. I mean tried to race. I got smoked. I had to look and see if I was in R ! The Q is a bad #$$ car for it's size. There is nothing like smokin a 2 door while you are driving a 4 door.

I honestly think that altiman gave us sort of a reality check....

IN MY OPINION i would sacrifice the extra half second in the 1/4 mile for the extra comfort and luxury, as thats really what the car is about.. ITs about a luxury car with performance.... No its not fast, but it makes me happy.... Ill be slower but I'll have toasty buns and a quiet ride.... The 94 is better at being a luxury car than the 9093 is at being a performance car..... I say that expecting to be yelled at once again......

Not to mention, the 9093 isnt exactly an attractive car to me. Its a good design and I appreciate it, but I just dont think it looks as good as the 94

SOrry if I was flaming, but we all own different cars for different reasons, and we can agree to disagree... Some of you prefer the extra performance of the 9093, but I prefer the luxury, after all thats what class the car is in.....

The luxury of fake wood!

You have your opinion, and I have mine.

Who says your car is more comfortable? YOU DO. I prefer the 90-93 seats, and I drive a 94 daily.

Remember you arn't any more right, because you say it is so. What you view as better, wasn't viewed as better by the majority who bought the G50. Look at the original owner follow ups, their favorite parts of the car, were the exact reasons you prefer your 94. They loved the original seats, the style, etc etc.

I agree to disagree. Personally I love the luxury touches they performed on my 92 (10x better softer leather/real wood trim/stereo enhancements/etc) I would definetely rather have more luxury, as opposed to less. I just don't think the 94 is the supreme luxury vehicle you make it out to be. The wood is fake. The leather is still over treated, under breathing.

Luxury rocks! The G50 needed more of it, not less. that much is for sure

QUOTE]what' up with this SRT-8? Engine/power etc?[/QUOTE]

The 425-horsepower, normally aspirated 6.1-liter HEMI is the highest specific-output engine ever offered by the Chrysler Group. Its 69.8 horsepower-per-liter rating exceeds even that of the legendary 1966 "Street HEMI." Torque is rated at 420 lb.-ft.Its supposed to be in the 13.80 area with a low 5 sec 0-60, pretty inpressive for a fat girl:)

The shifter bezel and ash tray in my car sure look like real wood when I had them out??

Are you referring "only" to the insert in the door, if so, than you're correct, as that's not real wood.

Impressive. Although the new lineup of BMWs push 4k pounds, and can break into the 13s with 100 less hp.

Seriously 13.80 with 420 hp?

Once again, it must be insanity on the freeway

Yes, rex you are correct. The inserts on the doors look fake and crappy. The ashtray/console are rich and real. Still with a 50k price tag in 94, they should have made the inserts real, no excuses

Let's face it we are as partison as democract and republicans :)

All in all it's pretty cool Infiniti could take one car and make something as simple as a mid generation change, so much different, between their respective owners

I love the fact that all these cars are going back to true power.

I dont love the comparison of first gen q's to these new monsters.

First of all few of us have paid the $50,000 price tag.

I know I didnt. Also I didnt pay the $36,000 price tag which is the 300c.

But that is a nice car for the price. you get a good blend. I personally like the 300c and the dodge magnum. I mean finally american cars with zest for a good price.

I also do believe that cadillac is getting out of hand. I mean $55,000 for the new sts. Its a bad car but that price to to steep. But like it was stated early it is not meant for the younger crowd. But they had better wake up because the younger crowd will be the one with the money soon.

And when a young person has to choose between a $55,000 sts or a $55,000 bmw or lexus or benz they are probably going to go with the bling bling factor.

I sacrified a TON of performance buying my 02 cougar I just got a few weeks ago, but I needed reliable transportion while I work on my s13. I don't care that it's slower, the ride is a million times better, leather seats, moonroof, 6 disk changer, all speak for themselves. AND, the ladies dig it :). Someday Ill find some nice chrome rims and some window tint for it. For now, its just my ride to school and work.

Girls dig cute cars... MY GF and a few of my girlfriends all hated my 91 of the time, but loved my G20 loaner i had for a few months.

Everyone has different objectives when it comes to cars

What kind of a little town do you live in that a cougar is dug by the ladies.

Its a college town of about 40k people. Most girls just like a nice car. You don't need a corvette to impress the girls.

My consonle and ashtray are real wood. A burled walnut. I like my chrome grille, even if it looks kinda like a Lincoln. I don't race my car against every Mustang on the road, and believe me, there are THOUSANDS of mustangs, in Alabama.

I personally think my seats are more comfortable than the 90 to 93, and I like my console better, especially the cup holders (yes, I drink in the car - mostly water and iced tea). The driving lights are awesome, since most of my driving is before light, and after dark. I really enjoy the Sony 10 disc changer in the trunk, and definitely like the solid paint job, as opposed to the lower edge of the car being a charcoal color.

I do wish I had that extra .5 to 1.0 second, when I feel spunky.

Nevertheless, is still awesome, to throw around over4,000#, like it is a sports car.

I suprised a little S500 driver, Friday, in a short 90 deg turn, by ducking inside and taking it in second gear, at full throttle, and kicking out the rear a bit. He had just passed me, and WAY over braked! Of course, he had to pass me, again, but he knew I had better control of my car than he did.

I would not ever turn down an opportunity to drive a 90-93. Maybe, if I get to the next meet, we can swap cars, and do some street racing.

LOL

I do wish my 91s lower section was the same color as the body, that to me is a very nice look.

Get the Impul body kit, and it'll be the same color and look more aggressive

You need the impul for the G50 and the G20!

How about AZ Hitman's Q.

Girls like new little cars, but big shiny cars with big shiny rims makes the panties drop. Maybe they will take a ride from you to the local student diner, but to the mall the q will win.

Not trying to hate on no ridebut i just have never heard a female scream outHey have you seen the kid with the black mercury? But I have heard hey did you see the spanish cat with that black car, what is that?

Oh a lighter note true that many chicks flock to the street races to see integras and civics go at it. But when I am leaving and doing my slow ride through the scene with the music bumpin, it is easy to see which car holds weight. LITERALLY
