If so, you'll need to cut and solder new connections on.

HKS/Tomei/Nismo all use OEM plugs so they're all direct drop-in.
Im not sure, Ones i were looking at said they were a direct fit but i could be wrong.

I love anything HKS but its so hard to get over here, l might look at the cost of buying direct from HKS and shipping some over. If not ill just find a set that use OEM plugs :)

I have a friend whos selling me his 2 month old BC red coilovers for $550 which usualy cost $1300. After that ill buy my injectors, GT3540 turbo and a top mount manifold and see how she goes!

Aight guys my subframe and my 5 point harnesses turned up today for the mighty skyline! Still waiting for the buckey seats to arive from Japan though.

Currently working on getting someone to weld in a rollcage so i can actualy put the harness in properly insted of using the old back seat holes for my harness.

Im going to have to find someone who has a tap and dye the same size as the bolt as there isnt a hole for the left drivers leg strap, Thats going to be interesting.
I allso had a drive in my friends RB20DET who has a GT3540 turbo on it, And to be honest it was awesome at 5000RPM+ which dosent really suit me. So ill be going for a smaller turbo to have that power range at 4000RMP onwards.

Maybe ill go with like a TD06 turbo or something? Not to sure at this moment. l have about 2 months till Hori Dori drift days come on and open track days for other places so i really gotta get my a** into gear haha.

l was thinking of getting some steering knuckels and caster arms etc soon after i've got my coilovers done and setup. Anyone know of a good type from personal experiance?

Ha well this was just awesome. Last night i heard a bang outside at 2am, So i looked out the window to see 2 people smashing my drivers side window and jump in the car. I ran out there like a crazy talaban but they still managed to get away with some of my harnesses and other items. So once again another setback...Sigh, l'll be having my car stay at a friends place on the down low for a bit. But i think im going to have to invest in some plastic windows asap and a removable steering wheel with a lock on it...

I forgot to post this depressing pictures last week. My buckey seats arrived in Auckland last night so they should be here tomorrow or the next day! I'll have pictures of those in the skyline when they arrive.

This is becoming harder and harder each day. While putting the new Alternator in the skizza it fell on my face while i was under the car LOL, But after i got it in it doesnt start any better AND none of my gauges work now for some reason only the turbo timer. Thats still a mystery to me..Brought a Non-Hi Cas power steering pump off an online trading site and when it turns up it was a Hi-Cas pump and the brackets dont fit the block and i cant swap the brackets over either. My friend sold his Coilovers so now i have to find $1000 for some half decent ones...This is just becoming a mission and a half. Aswell as it not starting properly, It allso has a dead spot right on boost. I was thinking an air leak? But i cant find one. Anyway thats been my joyfull week lmao....Any help for the loss of gauges and starting problem would be awesome. Cheers guys...

alternator won't affect how it starts. the issue lies with either the battery or the starter.

Hmm yeah i figured, But allso the person who owned this before my old boss did an engine swap from a RB20DE to the RB20DET so the thought of the ground running from the block to the chassis poped into mind. l worked on a stock car that had that problem, Wouldent start and would miss etc, Then we just ran some jumper cable from the block to the chassis and the problem was solved. So i'll be looking at that tomorow to see if there is a ground running from the block or not and allso checking the starter motor!

New pictures of the 5point harnesses, buckey seats and detachable drift wheel will be up in a few days!

Wow time has gone by so quickly! Its been crazy for me. Here's what I've done, Or the lack of for that matter. I also got a new Alternator and power steering pump that I'll take pictures off which i still need to make custom brackets for, It might not be interesting but I'm sure at least one person would like to see my work :P. I've got a brand new Do Luck bodykit coming freshly made for my R32, No more ugly lack of a front bumper and cracked passengers sideskirt haha. I've been asking around for sponsors for my drift car, And i meen who wants to sponsor a 17 year old right? But surprisingly i got some hook ups at D2 and Rota Wheels so i get a HUGE discount. I'll be getting top of the line D2 Drift series 2nd generation coilovers which normaly cost an arm and a leg but thanks to my buddy Col i'll be getting them at a fairly good price! Anyway enjoy the pictures of my new buckey seats, harnesses and steering wheel for now. I'll have some big updates and upgrades coming for you guys soon. I'll be sure to upload pictures of my joyous job of taking the old cut TEIN suspension out and putting in my brand new pride and joy which has lowering capability's, 30 way damping and camber plates etc on them!

s*** even if i could have got my hands on them they would have regretted it. I mean I'm young and dumb but i would never mess with someones car. Let alone if it their pride and joy like my R32 is.

Ohwell thanks for the concern. I'm now getting perspex put in thanks to my awesome sister who has the hook ups for it. Lets see them try break that haha.

Haha yeah i know i cant stand it. Im going to most probably wrap the roof bonnet and bootlid in carbon wrap and get the rest of the car resprayed as close as i can to what colour gel coat is for brand new bumpers so every time i crash or have an accident on the track and need new bumpers i can buy a new one and not worry about painting it. But for now i'll live with the uglyness.

Hey guys, So im getting my perspex installed this coming week and after that gets done im going to do the exhaust since its shooting flames right onto the petrol tank which is dodgey as hell. I was thinking straight pipes so i have no restriction at all, But then comes the case of having to be below 95DB for the infamous pukekohe raceway since they have now started testing people for sound. And its been a dream of mine to go there since its the worlds fastest drift corner ( 220K/PH+ ). Anyway would anyone know if i'd be over 95DB if i went 3" straight pipes? I was thinking i'd have to probably put 1 muffler in but im not to sure. Just sent away my ECU for chipping and once back i should have 300RWHP on 14PSI which is great! And if i upgrade from the stock turbo even more, No doubt the single best upgrade so far at a low $99! I allso have a Do Luck bodykit which i scored brand new for $300 from a clearance sale which is made from HiFlex which you can take to it with a baseball bat and it wont crack or anything. If anyone has any ideas about my exhaust hit me up.

This thread makes me miss my R32's in a bad way. The R32 Skyline was my first Nissan experience, I had the pleasure of owning 2 while I was stationed on Okinawa. That turbo you were going to use in the first couple posts was too big, be thankful you didn't build your car around it. I had a TO4E on mine, with a .81AR exhaust housing...lag was awful, ruined the fun aspect of the car.

If you want to run a 3" straight pipe, but find it's to loud for daily driving or track regulations you can always get a silencer. I had a RS*R on my Skyline and then my 240sx. It was so loud on both I installed a silencer. They are cheap and go in/out with a single bolt or a bolt and wing nut combo. You could also try a turn down, this will just aim the exhaust at the ground, but it might be enough to lower the DB's for this track you want to run on.

It's awesome that you're sticking it out even though you're unemployed AND 17.

Here's a turn down from summit for 19 bucks US.

Nissans truly are amazing cars aren't they? I was always a "Bigger is better" person until i actually owned a smaller engine. Over here we have 4.0L straight six engines with GT3540 turbos in Ford Falcons which put out 320HP at 5PSI stock or if you flash the ECU and 12PSI its like 500HP. Its crazy crazy. So i was always thinking i had to have a big engine for big power. But once i could afford a cheap Skyline it blew my mind. Mind you it is my first manual and turbo car. I think I'll take your advice and just straight pipe it and if its too loud for pukekohe put a silencer in for the day. All the other main tracks don't have any noise restrictions which is awesome! I'm still undecided on the turbo, its niggling on my mind. Maybe a TD06 20G or DSR430? Also i know RX-7s run pretty big injectors standard like 550cc i think? Do you know if RX-7 injectors run well in RB's?

I'm loving this built, Its such a massive learning curve even though i don't really have the funds to do an amazing build but i love doing it nevertheless.

Thanks for the help :bigthumb:

Ah thanks! So in theory since the FC turbo injectors are 550cc top feed and high impedance, I wont have to have to worry about resistors and they should be a straight drop in for my RB20 yes?

I've never really done anything like this before, But in theory i should be fine if i can get my hands on some of these injectors to start my turbo upgrade yes?

The injector clips won't match, so you'll need the FC clips to splice into the RB20 harness. Also make sure to use new orings.

Oh the joys. Just finished my power steering pump and alternator problem and now a new one pops up. So when i turn the key to acc the fuel pump does its thing and while thats happening it sounds like a hissing sound of air sort of from the intake manifold? Its not where the butterfly valve is its where it splits up into the 6 pipes just before entering the actual engine. Could it be the injectors maybe? Im truly baffled so any answers or ideas would be much appreciated!

Nevermind guys false alarm. I went to town to get some petrol and it turns out it was just low on gas even though it said i had 1/4 of a tank left. Ohwell lesson learned. Im happy i was right though and it was just air being pumped through! Im slowly learning how everything works haha.

Would anyone know why my skyline keeps loosing boost if i try to give it hell? It literally cuts out the same as if you have the boost controller turned off and it shoots massive flames out the back? Any ideas would help lmao.

Edit: I should allso say that my turbo timer which tells me the PSI shuts off too. Could it be a problem with my turbo timer?

Its only when i give it more then 3/4 throttle though. I turned the boost down to 12 PSI and it seems to be running better. This thing is honestly the weirdest car i've ever worked on. Every time i i open and close the bonnet/hood the car starts to loose revs and dye too haha. Its allmost as bad as when i hooked up some house speakers to my friends honda after one to many drinks, You have to turn the lights on and off toot the horn then put it into reverse before the headunit will work. Ahhwell, Perspex update will be coming this week and hopefuly my full do-luck bodykit allso. Stay tuned :dblthumb:

Aight guys so my Do-Luck full kit turned up today. I got it for cheap at $500 since this store i got it from was having a big sale and thought it'd be a good idea to get it now rather then later.

Little did i expect a brand new never touched kit to be this rough. Its got chips taken out of it, its half yellow, and the rear bumper even had dirty water stains on it and mud! Im not very happy but im getting my whole car sprayed for mates rates soon anyway. I have to move the front mount back more in order for the front bumper to fit, So I better get to it. No time like the present!

Its been awhile since i updated here huh. Well what can i say, I've been enjoying the summer warmth and living out at a beach is wonderful this time of year! But on the cars topic, I should have had my coilovers long ago and had constant updates but i ordered them from Taiwan which is about half the price delivered to my door then you would pay off the shelf here so i thought it was well worth the date. They got from Taiwan to New Zealand in only 3 days! But once they hit Auckland all hell broke loose with Customs. It took them weeks to get my package through, And once that happened they told me i had to pay hundreds just to get them or they get shipped back to Taiwan. So after all the haste of that they are finally on their way to me! In my limited spare time I've been teaching myself how to prep and paint old panels off my Ford Falcon and surprisingly, My rattle can job has come out better then the white already on the Skyline. So I'm thinking of borrowing my buddy's air compressor and line and buying some paint and a gun to transform the horrible pealing white and green Skyline into a beautiful black beast!

Oh another note, I cant seem to figure something out (Once again). Its been a few weeks since i started her, And i went to start it today and when i turn the key boost drops from 12PSI to 9.7PSI. So i thought it was the battery. I put a battery charger on it to see the charge and it was almost dead. I got the battery like 2 months ago max and i haven't used the lights or anything and if i leave it the battery dies. I've already charged it before as well. And it has a brand new Alternator so it cant be running off the battery ( I hope ). Can anyone help me with this? Its driving me mad. I have only 5 weeks to get it sorted, put the coilovers in, get a wheel alignment, wire in some new goodies and get my straight pipe exhaust done, Paint the whole car with the new bodykit and maybe a hydraulic handbrake if i have the money and time.

Edit: I left the battery on charge for 40minutes, Went back and tried to start it and it just turned over but didn't fire like usual. So i put the charger back on and set it to boost and it turned over and fired fine. It also said i was boosting 13.4PSI and when i took it off it said i was boosting 11.9PSI and didn't change when i turned the boost tap higher or lower. Then dropped 0.1PSI every so often, then it started to miss, then it died. Its like its running off the battery but I'm sure it cant be. There's also a ticking sound from the injectors or alternator. I cant seem to tell since they are above and below each other. If anyone can help me with this I'll be truly great full. Cheers guys.
