Ok Everyone, This has been the worst day by far!Let me start out by saying I'm ok, and they elderly man who killed my Baby is ok.

Now let me share my story with you all:

I was at work, we were all gathered up front by the door ready to lock up, but before we could leave my boss started with a "I hope u all have a good thanksgiving with your families" When out of no where a LOUD BOOOM and we all run out to see, at this very moment I knew my dear baby was hurt.

I stepped out and saw my car was hit ( she was no where near where i had parked her). My heart stopped!!!! Thats when i saw an elderly man sitting behind the wheel of a Dodge Truck. As soon as he saw us he attempted to pull off. My lovely co-workers run to the car and were able to stop him.

Anyway the cops came and notified me that the man was diabetic, and his blood sugar was EXTREMELY low, the had to instantly give him a shoot to help bring it up. Poor thing couldn't even think of his own phone number. I felt so horrible that i was so concerned of my 2 1/2 Week old baby, I just wanted to make sure his was ok. At that moment I honestly forgave him. I LOVE my car, but it does not compare to a life. At the end of the day it is a materialistic thing that can be replaced.

I am so grateful for my boss keeping us for those extra seconds cause I could of been in the car. I am very thankful to be ok and sad and broken hearted cause my baby is gone. Believe me when i say this, no joke: I shed tears in the process of writing this!

Now for that hard part: Please if you dont want to see a hurt Coupe dont scroll down any further. This could give u goose bumps and give u the desire to check up on your baby..........

Here it goes (Deep Breathe)............

[IMG] /IMG]

Man o Man does this suck!!! Many of u know I had pre ordered my baby in September and she just arrived November 3rd. She was great! The short time i spent in her she sure was good to me! Loved her!!!! Well I called the car insurance and now i just need to wait to see whats going to happen. The cops assured me that the insurance would take care of, because obviously he was at fault (Hit a parked car at full speed, speed limit 35 MPH)

Looks like I might have to order a second coupe!

I think i just won the worst coupe story by far...........

I'll keep u posted on what is going to happen, this sure is going to be interesting to see how it turns out.

And have a happy THANKSGIVING everyone, and don't forget to give thanks for all u have. This was my wake up call that materialistic things are GREAT, but there not everything!

Wow, great post Vanessa. It was very selfless and mature. I have lots of respect for you.

I'm really sorry your car got hit, and you did not get injured. I hope all this stuff gets resolved, and that you are inside a brand new car soon. You deserve it. Your post really shows how much of a good person you are. Even though you just lost your BRAND NEW car, you still thought of the health of the person who made you so sad. Very, very kind.

That's unbelievable! The thought that if you all came out a minute early or something. Nice to hear everyone is alright.

You are right and love the way you handled it because at the end it's just a car, which can be repaired/replaced!

So what are your plans? Getting another Coupe?

Thanks EVERYONE.

As far as getting this one repaired or replaced, I have no idea.

I honestly dont think my car will be the same if i do get it repaired and i dont think that is fair to me. Paying 30K for a new car, i should get a new car. But we will see how this all goes.

again thanks for all ur kind words. its going to be another long wait till i get my new car that i paid for. But like i said just glad everyone was ok, I'm going to wait as long as i have to for my coupe Loved my car too much.

Vanessa, I think I speak on behalf of everyone when I say that I'm sorry. I cannot say that I know how this feels, but I certainly understand how difficult it must be for you, especially since this is a brand new car. However, I truly do commend you for saying that a life does not compare to a materialistic thing. I believe that this is the complete truth and that you are a very strong person for both realizing and admitting this. A car can be replaced but a life cannot. I wish you the best and hope you can get through this quickly and with as little pain as possible.

Sorry to hear about you bad news. That really Sucks, you are fortunate that you were not in the car at the time.

On another note

GAP insurance I hope you got it. Otherwise if totaled insurance will only cover the depreciated value of the car and as new as it may be you still owe the balance of the loan.

So say they totaled it and its worth 25k and you owe 30k GAP covers the diff.

Good luck

Wow, sorry to hear what happened to you and the old man. It's a wonder how things happen, huh? Luckily you weren't in the car, or near the car when it happened. I guess He was looking out for you. I know it must hurt to see your baby like that, but the main thing is that no one got seriously hurt.

When I read the first post in this thread , I thought, "This person's probably gay or a female" and unsurprisingly, I was correct. When most guy's cars get hit they're like, "F-this *** *** **** **** my **** " but, you were genuinely concerned about the other person. Cheers to you for being a women and happy thanksgiving.

I'm glad you are safe! That is the most important thing. Sorry to hear about your car. I know you waited like forever to get it.

Having lost a new Altima baby myself, after having it for only 8 months, I can feel your pain.

Luckily, you were not in the car--I was--and seeing a car rolling over, coming at you like something in a movie--damn drunk driver--well, it ain't pretty. Luckily, a couple scratches for me--I can't say the same for the drunk driver.

Anyway...

Hang in there, keep the faith.

You will have a new baby before you know it--even better than the first!

That'll buff right out!

Vanessa, soooo sorry to see this happen. But of course things like this CAN be replaced. Your life or others, can't be. Good luck with the insurance and getting the car replaced. Keep us all posted.

Have a great Thanksgiving!

Thanks everyone!!!

Your words really do mean a lot!

Last nite was so rough for me all i could picture was my hurt A/C. But what can i do and just move on, I honestly thank god that this man hit my parked car and not a person or even hurt himself. Cops said he was so gone that any long he might of went into a coma.

Everything happens for a reason and hey if my coupe saved his life then I'm glad its gone!!!!

This has honestly taught me to be a mature person, I'm not going to lie when i first stepped out to see the accident I did have anger in me. But I do hope to get a new coupe, I'm going to fight for one.

Thank u my Nico family, I appreciate all of u! I wish u all the best and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!!

I'm so sorry to hear about your ordeal. I know we're all very thankful that you are ok, though. It's good time to reflect on what really matters in life. As much as we all love our cars, we all love our friends and families more (or at least I hope we all do!

Don't let them try to fix it! That car will never be the same. Insist on a replacement. Happy Thanksgiving Everybody! Say special thanks that our friend wasn't hurt!

Yikes! As everyone else said, I'm glad you're okay. It would have sucked being in the car but it would have been even worse if you had been standing beside the car opening the door when the A/C killer struck.

I would be surprised if you didn't get a new car out of this deal. That thing is easily totalled, minus the exhaust . The doors probably don't even open properly after taking a hit like that.
