Quiet exhaust with RB25DET? Is it possible?

Have you modified your engine to vent the crank case to atmosphere? That can create a pretty solid "gassy" smell.

Maybe your Gas tank Charcoal canister has been deleted. Behind the drivers side headlight there should be a black plastic bottle.

It smells like exhaust fumes - not gasoline. But i still have the charcoal canister, im quite convinced its some leak in the exhaust system. My BOV is recirculated so idk what else the problem might be. Thinking that the gaskets need a good checking - guy that installed the engine is a known f*** up in the drift community. I just need some ideas guys, i want to waste as little time as possible when i diagnose this thing. I leave the country for 3 weeks and need to drive the car around the canyons a bit so i don't get too sick from being away. Haha. just poking some brains.

lol.here in NZ we have no laws on exhausts or emissions...we have a rule for our 6months warrent of fitness that it has to be under 95db at 4000rpm but wen the wof rolls up u put the silencer in lol.....i run on my t3t4 a 3inch custom downpipe to a 3 inch flexi then to a 3 inch hotdog style louvered resonator then 3 inch pipe to a n1 style canon muffler...its f***in LOUD lol but we in NZ can get away with it easily.and i also run a 38mm turbosmart external venting to atmo which fukin hurts the ears lol

just one thing ive heard about.a mate has a RB30 with a T3T04E turbonetics charger with a 3 inch straight through exhaust and its really quiet....aparently thats wat turbonetics turbos do
