What's this I hear about the rockers on sr's? Something about them sticking, or becoming magnatized? I'm asking because I was ka-t for 2 days and I think it blew due to my son (2yrs. old) screwing around with the boost controller and me not eyeing the gauges. I'm broke and can't build another one so i called my dad for help. He said he wouldn't give me the money to build another ka, and that I should put a 5.0 in and be done with it (He's a Ford guy). I let him see an sr in action on an option video and constantly repeated its turbocharged from the factory and he said cool, 5.0 or sr. So please, please enlighten me on this rocker issue so i can take care of it before it starts. Oh yea, thanks and I only want about 250hp and don't say I will want more cause I can take losing.

at 250 hp you dont need to worry about the rockers, I havnt touched mine in over 60000 miles and they are stock, as long as they are bled properly you will be fine

What has to be bled? Pressure? Oil?

The lifters for the rocker arms are what your trying to ask about. Factory ones are hydraulic and are filled with oil. By bleeding out the air they become stiffer and less likely to cause problems.

no the problem he is talking about is them poping out. from what iv heard and had happen one time, a rocker will pop out from under the cam under high reving for periods of time or improper installation and if you dont notice it immediatly, that could be the end of your engine

this is most often caused by the lifters being improperly bled.
