yea thats how i hooked mine up and the gauge works but i dont know if the bov works i cant hear it i dont know if you have to adjust anything

BOV's have springs inside of them, maybe you need to adjust the spring. How much boost are you running? If its too low you may not be producing enough pressure to open the valve, But I would think that anything over 3 PSI it should open.
