Quick question for Fiznat (Foster)!!

I don't even know what the hell this thing is or what it does...here's the picture, it's the thing with the three bolts in it, and it's burried underneath the intake manifold right near the alternator mounting bracket.



Whatever this thing is, it bolted into the side of the front cover with the bolt on the left and the bolt on the right, and thats what it's held in by. But there was also a threaded insert in the middle of the thing that didn't seem to serve any purpose? I had a bolt left over that fit perfectly in this middle insert, and it didn't seem to go anywhere else (this bolt was among many other bolts that the machine shop guy have to me in a huge box).

Here's a picture to show exactly where this thing is...



I'm pointing to the middle screw with that stainless steel scribe...

I just wanted to make sure thats where that bolt went and since I know you did that huge writeup on the intake manifold, I figured you'd know...

PCV valve maybe?

ahhhhh damn... I def dont know what it is off the top of my head, although it does look like it could be the PCV box just from the area. Is your PCV already installed?

I'll take a look at my stuff when I get home and post back.... And I'll check out that other thread too.
