Hope things are going well for her after surgery Bud. Sounds like she has had a tough little life. I hope everything works out for her and your family. Riley is one of the best childrens hospitals in the country, with great Doctors and staff. I'm certain she is the best possible care that she could have.

Man, you guys are the best. I'm here at the hospital still. Long night.

Saraya's tests all came back OK, so the docs are still uncertain what caused the seizure. She's started waking up a little, but she's pretty incoherent still. Doc says it'll take a few days to "reboot" after that lengthy and severe of an episode.

Your prayers and friendship are appreciated. Love you guys.

p.s. Bud, keep us posted on your niece - There's always someone out there whose trials make your own seem insignificant, and so she's in my prayers even as I sit here. No child should have to endure that. :(

so who else thinks it's get well soon present time for her?

much glad to hear she's doing better, that great news. I hope they can determine the cause so it can be taken care of to stop any possible future incidents.

I think I speak for the others when I say we'd be obliged if you were to post some of her favorite play things or stuff she's really interested in.

Ditto Bud.

Yeah. That sounds like a good idea.

Greg, do you have a paypal address besides NICO that we can send for a little Saraya present fund? If not, perhaps we should send it to the NICO one with a message saying that it's for her?

Geez Greg, I'll drop a line up to the big guy for her and your family. He owes me a few favors anyway. If you need anything feel free to call bro, I'm on 2 hrs away, 1.3 if its an emergency and like 38 mins if I hijack a Helo from work. Stay positive my friend.

UPDATE -

Thanks to all who dropped in a quick note, said a prayer, called, emailed or just sent positive thoughts our way.

Saraya woke up this morning and was doing really well, and the neurologist said she could go home, almost 2 days early. So she was discharged and we brought her home a little while ago. She's resting now, and seems to be well on her way to a full recovery.

She'll be on some seizure meds for a couple months, just to prevent a reoccurrence. The physicians all told us that if she hadn't come into our room and woke me up (puked on our bed) that she would have died - We got her to the hospital in the nick of time.

Miracles do happen.

Thanks again guys - You're all awesome.
