well I went and got some bkr6e plugs, turns it origanaly had bkr5e's in it.IIRC bkr7 was the factory plug (7 heat range) since I am running 12psi I thought I would go a step colder with the bkr6e's. is there any reason or bennifit to having bkr5e's? wouldnt that be a heat range of 5?? I am alittle confused.thanks!

7's are a step colder than 6's. Stock SR plugs should be 6's. 5's is what the SR20DE engines run i believe. 6's are good at 12psi. I ran my 7's up to 24psi without any problems.

go with the 7s, when I had the 6s at 12 PSI when it was really hot out I had detonation issues, very rarely, but it hasnt happened since I got the 7s.

8s are too cold ; ). I know.

Mine came with HKS Heat Range 8 and theyre cool! But not functional above 8-9 PSI.

What are you talking about, 8's arent functional above 8-9psi? 8's are meant for higher boost, like 20+psi.

I'm fuel fouling them because they're too cold. I am not getting a good/sufficient combustion from 4500-7000 on the 8 heat range. They're meant for a higher flow because the pressure of the volume thats compressed on the compression stroke generates more heat. Since I have a stock turbo and heat range 8s it isnt't working out too well. Now it could be that they are fouled to begin with and swapping in some other plugs(heat range 6) helped tremendously but i'm fairly sure my assumption on this problem is correct.

I ran Greddy Iridium 8 (same as NGK) no problem on stock boost and T25. Maybe your gapping is off. Should be gapped to .030".

Just swapped in NGK Iridium 7s problem went away, but also, one of the plugs was at .040 while the rest were at .032.

The new ones are at .028.
