ok so i had AC but when i switched engines i never put the AC compressor back in and im too lazy to do it so im gonna pay sombody to do it when i get a jobbut anyways, no AC's not a problem till summer, just roll the windows up when its cold, have em down when its not... no problem

the only thing hate is when it rains and i have the windows up so i dont get wet, the inside glass gets foggy as hell to the point where i cant see

i keep the glass clean, and i even bought this "anti-fog interior glass" s*** by rain x and applyed it how they said, and it still doesnt help. the windows fog up like crazy, and no matter how many times i keep wiping them it just keeps coming back

im wondering what you people without AC use to get around this?

just turn on your air or something. put it on defrost so it adjusts the temp of the glass.

or just dont breathe like a serial killer.

yeah i would put the defrost, the only problem is the motor for that thing that moves the flap to direct which vents the air goes to is like half dead

so it has no problem moving to feet or defrost, but 95% of the time it wont go back the face position

but i guess in the mean time ill have to be a man and just turn on the defrost... even though that will just make me sweat more balls in my car when its raining and i have the windows up with no AC and i live in south florida....

Never thought about that.. lol idk about you guys but I use the heat to get rid of the fog on my windows on cold mornings. At least in my VW, I've never had this problem in the s13 yet, and I have no blower motor in it so I hope it doesnt happen lol

dude, you dont live in south florida

its winter or i guess spring, so other than when its raining, im perfectly fine without AC

but over the sumer and when its raining, you really want AC

visors would be a good choice, but http://www.frsport.com/Genuine....html$120? my a**!

If you really want a/c, just put the compressor back in yourself. It like 4 bolts.

AC takes the humidity out of the air...

why would i put the heat on when its raining? that would just make me sweat more

as far as putting the compressor back in, it was alot easyer back when there was nothing in the engine bay besides the engine and the harness, but i have to change the brackets for some reason cause i guess the obd1 and obd2 s14's had diffrent brackets or somthing... i have no idea

but either way i still have to recharge it and its just a b**** to work in that area so id rather just pay sombody else to do it

your point? like i said, im fine without AC, it really aint that big of a deal in an older car, but when its raining you really want it, so you can have the windows closed without the windows fogging up and sweating your balls off from all the humidity

and in the summer, somtimes its just nice to have ice cold AC when you live in south florida and its hot and humid as balls

What I do is keep my sunroof open.

However, since your car does not have a sunroof as far as I can deduct from your signature, as a lot of people have already said, you could purchase rain guards/window visors which would allow you to have your windows slightly open even when it rains.

hmph rain guards look silly, the keeping rain out would be cool but not at the expense of style. I have no ac and i usually use my heat/defroster or crack the sunroof/windows. When i get the sr20 done and all i'll replace the ac too, its not as hot in VA as FL but the humidity will slaughter you so it may as well be. I hate when im like sticking to my seats and steering wheel and when i can get out and ring out my clothes. Stupid shift knob gets all slimy and sweaty. I hate summer i want to move somewhere its never hot, cold doesn't bother me much. Good luck

CA people. I'm assuming you've never lived out of CA. He's sweating b*lls in FL when it's raining because it's humid as sh*t down there. CA only rains when it's cold, everywhere else, it rains whether it's hot or cold. So imagine how humid it'll get when it rains, but it's hot outside.

To the op, you'll just have to suck it up. I had no AC in central CA during the summer. It sucks coming out all sweaty, but that's part of having a 240.

Whoever says to get rainguards over A/C is retarded. Where is the logic there if the price difference is so minimal?

Also, how much does a new compressor cost? I need one as well.
