Thats what I thought I would need to do, but I was surprised on how nice they fit, They're 38 offset all around, I think ill try to squeeze in tome 285's or 295's in next time I think there is enough room. They actually dont look as huge as you would think, they look like they were made for the car, ill post pics up soon.

The only reason I said anything is because my 15 x 7" Work Ewing III wheels (19 mm offset, with 6mm spacers, so effective offset of 13 mm) and 225 tires are *just about* flush in the rear.

BUT, this thread is now INCREDIBLY OFF-TOPIC.

So stop post-whoring, you n00bs. :D

I've owned 2 different Skylines, and have had 2 different turbo setups on each. The stock T3 makes awsome daily driver, then I switched to the TO4E, 81 AR. Way to much lag for an auto. So I bought my second Skyline which was identicle accept for the 5 spd. The lag was more tolerable, but still a pain in the *** for daily driving. It did however make drag racing fun, and it allowed me to run a great deal of boost without losing eficiency and overheating.

But unless I'm building a purpose built drag car again, I wouldn't get a laggy setup like that ever again. I still like the GT30.

I'd have to say the turbine might be more to blame for lag. T04E coupled with a turbine that is matched well to the motor can exhibit very low lag characteristics. Case in point, the T3/T04E's that are so popular to use with small import motors.

Oh definitly, the turbo I used was a perfect case of someone thinking bigger is better. I had no idea about trims or anything at that point. I just new my turbo was to small to put out any decent HP. So I bought a kit a guy had forsale. Had a shop fab up a downpipe and was ready to go. I had no idea how bad lag actually was...lol. Until I put the pedal down in my auto and the car just kinda puttered up the road. It was so bad I contemplated using 10/1 CR pistons to help my off boost driving.

235/45zR17 on the front255/45zR17 on the back

It is FULL in the back. Not 100% the offset, but I need to get the fender rolled before I get rid of the camber.

PERFECT wheel size imo, athetically anyways.
