Hi, i just got a 95 240sx and i opened up the cover to start my rebuild and i notice the cams looked strange. The paint thats on the cams are on the wrong side. I always thought the cam w/ green paint is on the intake and the orange painted cam is on the exhast but wat i have is the oppisite. Am i wrong or did the last person install it incorrectly? How can i tell if they did the 91-94 240sx cam upgrade onto the 95 motor?

P.S. when i was driving this 95 240, i did noticed it had more power than compaired the 91-94 240s that i driven in the past.

The paint changes between years. The onyl way to check is by the dowel pin.My s13 stock cams were opposite of what you have now. I just ordered a set of v2 crowers and they are painted the way you currently have it. I'll give you a link to JWT. When the car is at TDC look at the dowel pins....

Looks like they swapped to me cause s13 cams have green as intake (your exhaust) and orange as exhaust (which is your intake). Another way to know is to find TDC and then check which direction the intake dowel pin is @. Should look like the picture in this thread zerothread/62997 .
