Im debating with...myself?

Im not a big fan of tuning so im planning to use the Enthalpy tuned oem ECM.

Do you need something like SAFC2 when you have a tune like that or can you trust the tune to do the job perfectly by itself.

My plans are to buy a 240,then swap a sr20det in it.Im going to rebuild it with 8.5:1-86.5mm forged CP pistons/eagle conrod.

GT2871rs .64 is my turbo choice along with 740cc injectors and implanning on hiting 330 whp.

So my question is do I absolutely need SAFC2 when i got a Enthalpytune or can I trust it 100%.

Thanks in advance.

Kent.

Built bottom end, bigger turbo, and bigger injectors, but no cams or Z32 MAF??? Weird.. (You're going to definitely want the MAF) It really depends on how well they do with your tune on whether or not you'll need it... Most rom tunes are a little overly rich. I suggest you get a wideband O2 sensor, install everything, and see how it runs.. If it looks like it needs some minor adjustments, get the SAFC.

Yes the 300xz maf is definetly on my list. But for the cam, previously I had a 2001 grand prix turbo(not the supercharger) with around 480 ponies at the crank with the stock cam and it was ok.

Would you recomend a cam for... lets say 330 whp?

If yes which one?

330 HP in mind, you wouldn't necessarily need it. Most all the power you need is already there, just add fuel.

I agree with Chris here, though. Run the ROM tune and (as stated) if it runs too rich for your liking, you can always tune it out with a stand alone. They tend to do that to keep you safe, well that and you can't always make the perfect tune off of a list of parts (not knocking ROM tunes)

I'd recommend a 264/264 setup... Also, don't forget valve springs and retainers. You can get BCs pretty cheap through EnjukuRacing.com

I checket it. I must admit that this stuff is pretty cheap for a complete valvetrain.

Do you happen to know the rpm range of theses ?

Of an SR? Power tends to drop off after 7000rpms on a stock one. There's an article on here that details how to build your head to handle 9000+ RPMs
