I wish there were more photos of the install. I just purchased a new reman quest/villager alternator for my ka. Once i do this i plan on installing my 14in puller fan with fan controller and 12in fan for my ac condenser. Should get my cooling up to a better status.

reason for upgrading is my current accessories: HID'S, 400watt amp and 12in sub and a/c at the same time makes my car struggle at idle. You can tell the voltage regulator drops out and then comes back online.

This thread is a request for more clarification on the install. From what i read i understand that i need to go 2-3 belt sizes up and loosen the top bracket and install with the alternator together. No cutting or chopping involved if i use this method. I do know i need to up the bushing hole to 25/64-3/8. But other than that it should go in correct?

Update:

used 25/64th drill bit to open up holes on lower mounting bushing. Simply loosened the upper mounting bracket and then installed tensioner bolt and positioning bolt. Installed very easily and is working great!

Sgt. Evans i appreciate the provided the link. That alternator is a great upgrade. I'm currently running a 14in and 12in puller fan setup with a pac-2700 dakota digital fan controller. Also, have a 4 channel 400watt amp and HID lamps. Done.

No problem man, you're welcome.

Quick off topic question though.... I read your profile and it says UH-60A mech.

Since when do Marines operate or maintain 60's? I guess your job has something to do with where you are at (Texas) They are great birds, just wondering about that.

By the way I am an NDI tech for UH-1Y and AH-1Z's out here at Pendleton.

Been out since 2004. I was an Avionics technician on c-130's from 99-04. I've been contracting since I've been out. I currently work for the corpus Christi army depot working on uh-60a blackhawks as an electrician.
