LOL, you guys are THE BEST.
Aztek, that pic looks like, "HITMAN'S Family Goes to the Lake."
UPDATE: Well, I picked up Quella last night at the shop. My wallet is $500 lighter, which REALLY sucks because that was our vacation savings.
However, I must say she looks amazing. The shop cleaned the entire car with some sort of solvent. Then they neutralized the solvent and wet sanded the car twice. Then they buffed it and polished it. You can't believe the difference. I had forgotten how DEEP the Ivory Pearl Quartz looks on an old Q looks... I thought my paint was good before, but now that the dulled layer of clear coat is gone, there's a really impressive effect when the sun hits the pearl... almost a rainbow or prism effect. Wow.
Anyway, since the paint was now "naked", I spent the rest of the night (til 4 this morning) in the garage applying the Zaino polish and protectant products. My arms and wrists are in agony. For those of you that aren't familiar with the product, check out
http://www.zainobros.com. This stuff is amazing. I can drop a terrycloth towel on the hood, and instead of it crumpling up and sitting there, it SLIDES OFF. Weird.
I have never seen my car look this good, so I suppose there is a bright side. BTW, the very bright sign in the front yard is attracting a lot of attention from passers-by:
"VANDAL = Spineless chickensh!t pu$$y who attacks a defenseless car instead of its owner."
