Call up Scottdale Infiniti Parts they have the blubs for the consol, they also work on the dash and the radio. I bought 22 of them.tkd_q45 wrote:Anyone have a part number for the center consol power window switch bulbs? Are they the same as the door window switches? My local dealership couldn't find this - was not referenced in their parts database.
This is incorrect and I have written Sylvania about this datum.elwesso wrote: 1999-2001 INFINITI Q45

I believe so, yes.It won't hurt to take one out, and take it to a shop if you are still unsurespunkrat wrote:After reading a few posts, am I correct in saying that 1994 G50 Q45 fog light uses H3 bulbs? Just want to check before I get some.
Thanks!!
I'm not sure about the gearshift but the others use this micro lamp. You won't be able to get them from the stealership without buying the component.SpartanAir wrote:Also, what about the clock, window switches, climate control, and gearshift?
There's actually 4 or 5 different bulbs on the speedo cluster and they're all available from the stealership individually. The trip odometer bulbs use the same ones as in the pic. They're $10-$11/ea purchased from Infiniti. If you can find the correct drawing in Nissan FAST all the bulb P/N's for the cluster are listed.SpartanAir wrote:So are all the bulbs in the speedo cluster 194? Any different ones?

And, did anyone get and HID system in their car, does it work well?
Thanks
.The regular Silverstar bulbs are horrible! I wouldn't dare pay for the Silverstar Ultra because it's basically the same bulb with the issues fixed that was nagging the original Silverstars. Except you are paying an ULTRA price. I've been happy with the XtraVisions.MinisterofDOOM wrote:I've gotten poor life from them as well, usually under a year per lamp, even with careful gloved installation (I've done theatrical lighting; my lamp-handling habits are meticulous). It's worth nothing that I've had far better luck with Silverstar Ultra than with standard Silverstars.
Ah ok, I see. Well I will just get some kind of cheap glove as well. Better to be safe than sorry!! Haha a bulb with "growths" would definately be interesting to see!!MinisterofDOOM wrote:You don't necessarily need gloves, but it helps avoid touching the glass. Since lamps get so hot, any oil on the glass (from being touched) can cause it to heat unevenly which can reduce longevity.
Rubber gloves are fine. I use a pair of those cheap knit gloves:
As long as you can install the lamp without touching the glass of the tube, you're fine, gloves or not. I'm probably one of the only people who bothers with gloves.
You should see what happens to a 750watt Source 4 lamp that has been touched. You get nasty glass "growths" where the glass overheats quickly.
