I talked to the owner of that motor on Friday (I'm tryng to score some of the intake runners and bell mouths off him ;) )

The car hasn't be run.. still in the build.. he thinks the block is going to be the weak link but its just a matter of time I suppose to see ;)

BTW, most T exh valves in Nissans are sodium filled..

G'Day viewers,Another Aussie here, recently joined thisforum. I too am really keen on the VH45 motor and its potential. Currently living in LA, I have an '88 300ZX and I'm curious to find out what parts are needed to be fabricated to get this motor installed in a Z. What manual transmissions are recommended for this motor? I don't plan on drag racing, just updating with a newer motor. Thanks,Dave

Lead the way Dave! So how does a TT motor work in a Q? Separate TBs and a standalone ECU? What turbos fit, and where? What materials are used in the plumbing? That Japanese 240 that had a bunch of wedges welded together to make the bends is far too much work. I've only seen pictures, and read trappings from our Aussie bretheren, and picked up a rumor here and there. I don't have the time/money to experiment, but if I had a good idea of what it would take to get there, a TT G50 would be a project I'd like to do eventually.

G'Day Chally, Bart & SSSI'm in Brisbane with a '90 Q45A just landed from Japland. There is another private imported Q here owned by Si and Rosemary in SA just bought a Nissan imported Infiniti in SA. The Ozzie Q family is getting bigger by the day. Rosemary tells me that There were 100 imported by Nissan in Nov.'93 and sold early '94 so there has got to be a few Q45's floating around.
