q45 AC/ Audio malfunctioning

Hello,
I brought my car to Infiniti dealership and they were going to charge me over $1000 so I am sending you an email. Hopefully you can shed some light on this problem!

I got my car this past summer and realized that my dashboard turns on only after I park the car under the sun. Often the dashboard turned on periodically when I drive long distance. Welcoming screen appears on the monitor in the middle of the drive.

When the dashboard doesn’t work, I can’t control anything.. I can’t turn the AC off (it is always on, can control the temperature from the rear seat controller ), audio system doesn’t turn on, whole monitor is completely dark, and pretty much degrading the whole driving experience. Now, the dashboard doesn’t work all the time.. At night, the light turns on on the dashboard but none of the buttons work except rear demister button…

I have checked relevant fuses over the weekend and I have no clue.. please help!

obviously the dealer found some faulty part if they gave you an estimate for repair........the answer is right there,in the estimate.

When you say "dashboard" are you referring to the instrument cluster (speedometer, tachometer, etc) or the center console section with the audio and climate controls?
