Considering those things:

1- 240 owners are usually broke or don't want to spent a lot of money. 2- Don't have much knowledge on how to diagnose or fix the problem .3- Are just damn lazy.
are 240 owners for some reason the only broke peaple out there(we aint all broke, speak for yourself)why would a 240 owner not have knowledge to diag or fix something(again, speak for yourself)lazy? are YOU any of these?

how about do it yourself, or find a reputable mechanic. the 240 isnt specially hard, infact, its one of the EASIEST cars to work on and trouble shoot.

Hell no. Your car will be in the shop for days while they try to figure out why your 5spd swap doesn't rev past 5k rpm, why the motor feels like a weak flat 4, why your pop-up lights are stuck, etc etc etc...

Knowlegdeable enthusiasts FTW.
you must have a crappy shop next to you. we deal with alot harder problems then your average"old vehicle" problems

There are going to be a lot of shops that know how to work on one. There are also a lot that don't. I've seen first hand how some of the books have wrong info about timing and the shop really messed up the car and charged to repair it afterward. Back when I didn't know how to work on my car I let a shop do my brakes and exhaust and they left the metal clips off one side completely and welded my header to my cat. I work on my own car as much as I can and for the engine things I can't figure out I have a real good friend that knows his stuff. Moral is, learn how to work on it and save money.
