Hi guys,

Been lurking the forums for awhile but just registered. I'm looking to purchase the new '10 AC and need some advice from y'all. The salesman quoted me an internet price of $25,698 for a 2010 AC with the premium package. The list price is $26,975 ($26,800 on the Nissan website).I'm trying to find the true dealer cost of the car as a point of reference when it's time to haggle. My budget's $25,000 but looking for a good deal. What's the lowest I can go? I don't think the dealership has any rebates/cash backs for '10 models since they just rolled out this week.

have you tried Costco yet? Don't even know if they have them up. Usually just about MSRP.

to be honest i think the 09 looks better haha

when i bought my 09 last october(my babys birthday is the 25th) the sticker price was like 28,600 they offerred me 1500 trade in for my old car but after some negotiations my out the door price including taxes and everything was 25000 and trading in my car so i guess you could say 26500. so i would say you could do talk it down to 26000...if that helps at all

good luck with the new car shopping! its always an exciting process

Hey,..Welcome to the club!!!

http://forums.altimas.org/zeromain is the link you should bookmark!

All the info here is in its proper section (for the most part)... Please try and post in the correct area!

The search button works too, and we are always here to help you out! (again post in the right section if you can, if you arent sure, dont worry theres no beatings issued!)

As for your question, I personally like the 08-09 bodystyle of the coupe. I'm still debating on the 2010 body. However, to each's own...and of course budget plays a factor in your decision as well.

Save yourself $5,000 and buy the 09'. If not save the $5,000 then atleast put it towards an 09' 3.5. Not even a month ago, I purchased an 09' Altima Coupe 2.5 CVT w/ convenience package. Along with the convenience package came the moonroof and dealer wing. This was purchased in Beaumont which is about an hour to hour and a half from Houston. Drive out was around $21,500 after Nissan's $2,000 cash back offer and another $2,000 taken away from dealer. Now with the 2010 A/C out you could probably get the 09' for around $20,000 easy.

why is everyone telling him to get an 09 when that is not even relating to his question? He's not asking if he should go with an 09 or a 10...he's asking what the near price of the 2010 AC is so he knows how low the dealer can go if he pressures him enough....

I personally don't know the answer yet as I'm still waiting for the dealer in town to get some 2010 models...but once they are in I'm going to be buying one so if you get an answer before I do, please share!

I'm not complaining. I'm stating a fact. It's like going to a gas station and asking for directions and instead he tells you that a bag of chips cost 99 cents...makes no sense.

thanks for the replies. I'm gonna check out the '10 model first-hand tomorrow. Imo, the redesigned hood/grill has a little more ooomph than the '09. I might still go for an '09 if I find a deal too good to pass up.

so I went to the dealership today and checked out the '10 coupe. We had a side by side comparison between the '09 and '10 models....I must say the '10 version blows the '09 out the water! Seeing it in person, the hood redesign has a more aggressive/sporty feel. The back has a minor difference but also looks noticeably sharper. They only had a grey one available, not the winter frost I was looking for. Wheels are '17, overall I like the whole look of it. I just have to wait till I find the right one.

Yes, Costco members auto program. My car on lot for 29k, straight through Costco was 25k. Same dealer, same car, no haggle price.

I said check Costco. Although this being a 2010, they may not have this available through Costco yet.

Did you guys talk about a price or did not even bother because they did not have your color? The dealership in my town doesn't get any for another 2 weeks

well I did it! Purchased the '10 altima coupe in dark slate! No winter frosts available but slate was my other choice. Picking up the car tomorrow Lemme just say that I did not enjoy the salesman tactics at the 1st dealership I went to. I hopped on over to a 2nd dealership and the atmosphere was much more pleasant. I paid $26,500 drive out.
