Anyone have a DIY guide for puddle lights, I am wanting to put them on my car but can't decide where to start. I see pictures online with people using LED strips and others using actual LED bulbs...

If anyone here in the forum got pics and some tips...much appreciated!

I went with the led strips (60 led's on each side) and they work with the doors or oem alarm. Very bright and easy to to install. I got power from the lower pass footwell light.

I have 5,000K puddle (courtesy) lights, and I'll create a DIY with pics.

I do not have that length of light, 06M4.5, and the one you uploaded looks like it is a 6,000K version.

Very Nice! instructions are really detailed enough where a noob can probably do it, I hope at least. I wonder if these would work with the individual lights, i am looking for. might have to find a set and see how it goes

Something in the lines of this...

just not with the ballasts

Thanks! I tried to make it easy enough to follow so just about anybody could do it.

As for those lights you posted, it looks like you would definitely need those ballasts to power up those lights - especially since at the ends of those lights are the ballast plugs. I know with my fog lights that I changed to HID, I have those same ballast plugs, and, since I am running HID low beams and fog lights, had to install a harness so both of the fog lights would stay on. I don't know if you would need that as well for your setup, but it may be a possiblity.

Oh yeah i know about that, I was more looking in the lines of having puddle lights similar to those lights instead of having LED strips, I just dig the individual spots that show on the ground for some reason
