i should actually have said a pop up headlight that is a projector housing that still pops up, not one that keeps the headlight down and shines the projector through the bottom due to the body kit's shape

got pics?

Okay what I mean is you know how the stock halogen pop ups are? I'm asking if anyone has replaced the glass lens housings with a projector housing. That way when the lights are on they are up like normal, but have projectors, and when they are off then the headlights are down like stock.

Thanks for the retrofit diy link

When I buy an s13, I'll probably do this... but I'm planning on having it look a little better... I'll only use the original glass housing as a frame and use plexiglass to protect the lens

how large are these ebay h4 projectors compared to say an fx35 projector?

I used the FX35 projectors on my retrofit since they have the HI/LO beams on the same projector. here check it out.

How much room behind the projector do you have? Would you be able to mount them any further back at all?

Still looks like something that could be improved on though, you should always have something to protect the lens of the projector.

Lenses are not cheap O_o

This was just a rough mock up. I haven't had the time to finish the housings the way I wanted. But thats as far in as you can put them. any further in and your lights will not retract all the way down because the plugs will hit the chassis.

Ah, okay.

Not too worried I'll be cutting the hell outta the front chassis when I get the car. Planning a v-mount that still keeps the A/C. It will be interesting to say the least.
