I've seen worse, you'll just need over sized bearings.Dittie Doughnuts wrote:Indeed, If I can get a machine shop to do it, I know that wont be the issue of having them do it...the problem is I don't know if it is to worn down to fix
I mean, it doesn't really matter, see what the machine shop will charge you, my prices are cheaper because He does all my work for everything, and i've known him for years. haha But If you come across a cheap crank, pick it up, if its good. Then you can just get stock bearings.Dittie Doughnuts wrote:whats cheaper, buying a used crank or getting oversized bearing?
you buy stock rods? eagle isn't that expensive. and i'd go with an t25 if you are doing a stock rebuildDittie Doughnuts wrote:Maybe a S14 SR20 turbo, but not sure. Any ideas?
I was thinking about using one of their kits also. Looks like it's the best bang for the buck without it being ebay quality. People are going to tell you its bad judging it from a maximum power perspective but that goes with anything you get now. Anyways if you do get it I'm sure you'll post up what you think and maybe dyno?Dittie Doughnuts wrote:I'm gonna get the turbo kit from CX racing, since its fairly cheap and I've heard good things about it. I know it's still not that good of quality but since I'm gonna be running about 8 psi it shouldn't be a problem on a stock engine.
