My GF always says my car reminds her of the batmobile thus the title.

Whats already in the car:
Q45 Rear Brakes
VLSD
Reupholstered (pleather with red stitching) seats.
Twin electric Altima fans
Tint

91 S13 Hood is half primered becuz some jackass who cant spell painted BICH (seriously was it too much trouble to put a T?) in white on my car. I sanded it down and primered it but never got around to spraying it. Think ill just replace the hood.

This is where im at atm. Need to hook everything up and install the 3in exhaust.

Gonna remove the wing and weld the hatch too...

This is my DD so im keeping things subtle. After im done with the engine (for now) going to get my suspension in order and go from there. Most likely going to clean up the exterior (got some areas that need attn) and get the 180 taillights and front bumper (side skirts too) not sure on the rear bumper yet.

I got a set of 500cc injectors that came with the swap so I may find a use for them after I finish the exterior.....

My GF has taken an interest in my car and its performance (THEIR IS A GOD) and so im trying to teach her a bit about it too. She likes going around saying her BF's 240sx is going to have an RB20DET (even though thats as far as she can get with the lingo atm). She even wants to contribute to the project! Ive got to teach her how to drive a stick first... I tried teaching her on the old KA but she killed it lol. Thats why the swaps happening anyways... Or rather thats my excuse.

Yeah I just thought the batmobile comment would have gotten people to go lolwtf? and check out the thread. This is my first build and I am getting a lot of help from local gurus.

Im torn between some bodywork (painting and fixing the dents and left rear quarter panel) or buying coilovers...

I dont know really which direction to take first. Stock shocks arent blown but I mean im sure they could use a refresh and the bushings as well.....

I highly advise that you get coilovers before starting bodywork. Stock 240sx suspension is a joke. I would go with a nice set of Stance GR+ coilovers and Energy Suspension bushing set.

I'm guessing you know Jesse?

Also, be sure to get on NismOKC. If you need parts let me know. I have tons of them.

Lol hey dude its Michael you know. Me and you at tech..... Shane is helping with the drop in (CoupedUp)

To finish the swap I really need the oem rb25det ic pipe. j pipe. I also need the oem pipe that comes off the bov. to the turbo inlet.

Yeah I will need someone not 2 hours away (Tulsa to OKC ftl) to help with stuff from time to time especially with getting the suspension setup. Those coilovers look sweet but I spent most of my funds on the motor swap.

Nice swap. Have you decided on suspension yet?

Im not sure what suspension setup to go with. I want it to feel comfortable for DD since it is for DD but still give it a good stance and handling characteristics for spirited driving.

Everyone i know that has stance has some sort of problem with them :/ They are definitely quality but there are some weird problems with the pillow ball mounts which turn me off.

Its having a stupid stalling issue at low rpm (usually when downshifting) I haven't replaced the plugs or fuel filter yet so I figure those are the culprits (plus it had half a tank of 87 gas in it :tisk: ) Speedometer isnt working either so im going to replace that sensor tomorrow.

Its using a M60 Maxima Maf I want to put a HKS filter on it but I think it wont fit straight up.

The guy that I bought the motor set from said he would give me an ebay 3 inch exhaust setup but alas no dice so im running that super restrictive exhaust atm.

Are you talking about the insulation at the bottom? Thats to prevent rubbing and noise. Otherwise its just standard IC routing. It doesnt use the stock J pipe so the initial piping is different but its all good.

Update:

Replaced the fuel filter and plugs. Still dies at low RPM occasionally...

So I went to local shop and they say its becuz the bov isnt recirculated and without it being recirculated or getting an AMS it will continue to do so. They also said the maf placement is in a bad spot since when I actually get a filter on it (I had to order an adapter plate and the filter) it might sit too high and interfere with the hood.

For now I bought some high strength pantyhose and fit it around the maf securely so it could still breath but still have some added protection till the real deal comes in next week.

The problem with getting that recirculated too is its on a bad side so making a flange and then re connecting it is going to be an issue. They were saying I probably would need to get that pipe recut for both a better BOV placement AND to situate the intake a bit lower and in a better spot.

FRSport sells quick-tap fittings you could use for the recirc... They just go through one of your couplers.

Some friends locally who have RB experience said that I shouldnt have to recirculate it in order to fix the dying issue. Im waiting to hear back from them.

Ive read that grounding the earth wire from the ecu to the FP fixes it by supplying constant fuel but it kills your fuel gauge. Idk if thats a valid solution.

I thought maybe I could tighten up the BOV a hair to knock out any remaining issues as well.

I don't know about RBs, but I know we SR guys have the same issue, but the issue seems less common with the HKS SSQVs
